Just pushed her together and painted. I did not de-bur the PVC after cutting so it went together nice and tight.
Again, thanks for your post. This is really a nice stand and for the price it can't be beat!

That PVC stand is a good idea. I'm making myself one now. I used to just set my truck up on a few bricks.

Gonna paint at least one of mine tonight...

Oh... got a Home Depot gift certificate for Christmas (did my side of the fam Christmas bash yesterday... still one more to go on the 25th).... so I went out and bought a new RC tool box... one with wheels and a handle... and some little divider bins and paint etc....

Gonna try the oven cleaner thing on the Stock Savy X wheels and then paint them flat black and put a set of mulcher tires on them.

Busy busy busy!!!

Total spent...under $5 for each stand. I've built (3) so far and 9" is better than 8.5" because it's a tighter fit against the control arms.

I've broken in a few engines on these stands. It's great for running through that first (2) tanks.

I never glue mine. I just pull them apart and throw them in the travel bag. Assemble at location in no time.

pvc is great stuff for projects like this
I've used it to make display stands for my nitro boats
and separate transport stands too
i screwed a thin sheet of aluminum to the underside of the base and made carry handles out of rope and i can haul tools/batteries/fuel/starters/whatever along with the boat where ever i go.
don't see why the same thing would not work for trucks

just wanted to add my two cents. here is the stand i built. go ahead and copy, woot! 3/4 pvc gluded and painted with plastic paint that you would use on outdoor lawn furniture. all parts found at the homedepot.

i didnt glue the center posts so i could store it when not in use.
