Rob, you can assign any function to any channel in AFPD through the control menus. Your computer will recognize the G3 controller just like any other USB controller...or at least it should. Easiest way to check is plug in your G3 controller and then go to your computer's "control panel" and select game controllers. You should see the G3 controller recognized and operating there. AFPD can use any controller for that matter that your computer will recognize. For example you could even use a game pad or joystick as well. As far as idle up, throttle hold, or dual rates are concerned the answer is no I beleive as those are computer generated special programs accomplished by the transmitters themselves and not the receiving end. AFPD may have the idle up and throttle hold functions available to assign a switch but I am not sure as I don't play around with the helicopters that much. i do fly them around but I use the stock setups provide Mike Pilkenton

go to the control thing where you have all those red bars going horizontally, and assign the "Engine" channel to whatever channel throttle servo is for the radio, then set the "Collective" for whatever channel the radio is for collective.

i think then you can mix and have your Normal mode, and your Idle 1 and Idle 2 modes.

I have not tried this, am just suggesting what i think makes sense.

if it dont work, eh, i tried

Default RE: Does the RealFlight controller work for AFP/AFP Deluxe? Yes it does!

I was going to do this about a week ago, but a virus shutdown my Firewall. Well this is how, I currently have my RealFlight transmitter setup. I did not need to go into the control panel to setup the controller. My system had a 3 axis max and not a 4 axis max, so this was useless. If you do not understand this, it is on page 7 of the english part (last 1/3 of the manual.) Make sure the RealFlight controller is plugged into a USB port and the AFPD interface cable plugged into a USB port. (Start AFPD) Then go to calibration after the neutral positions is done. The full extent of travel part is not easy (remember page 13 on this part for min. to max. positions), but I have learned to use one hand before clicking the mouse with the other hand. I have not had any luck with dual rates or idle up modes. I use the dual rate switch for smoke, since it works different from the rest. It takes 3 movements like up(off), down(on), up(on) to turn on smoke and to turn smoke back on down(off), up(on), down(on). Function 21 on picture is for the idle up swtich to control wings from vertical to horizontal function on the Corsair download. I hope this posting can help!

edited dual rate switch to correct movements

you dont have to have the original either there is a exe file floating around that emulates the usb cord so you can then fly with the 2nd controller

Hi Mike,

I am still struggling with getting the RFG4 interlink controller to work with AFPD.
I have tried several solutions including switching usb ports.

I found one discrepancy:

"\Program Files\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe\Scenery\thefield.geo"

This field shows up blank in the scenery choices within AFPD. When and if I select it the program crashes.

P.S. I reinstalled AFPD and then installed update 'afpd18025.exe' then I tried the joystick and it recognized the RFG4 Interlink controller, so I tried 'Fly' and the Interlink was not having any effect, so I tried to configure it which seemed successful. I then retried to fly and nothing responded. Looking back once again into 'Controls' & 'Joystick - Properties' I found nothing responding! It lost its ability to see the RFG4 Interlink controller!

I then tried 'New' for joystick and nothing was recognized.

I then applied update 'afpd1110709.exe' and there was no improvement.

Will seeing my TM.LOG help?
