I can't stop.

I've tried, didn't work.

I'm doomed.

Let's get the membership to 270 before Nov 8! If it helps, I will apply for another number.

Building! I can't Stop! Branching out to plans built with laser cut parts now. I would be building a Rascal 168 if I had one, but instead building a Ziroli Mitchell.

You can't stop building because you're not dead yet

No, but if I keep it up, I may wind up dead, you know the wife can only put up with so much.

Building is great therapy. Build as long as the hands and eyes still work. When you run out of room, stash them in the attic. Some guys build them to sell. Laser cut parts, man I must be stone age. I make templates for wing ribs. I really enjoy stack craving for some reason.

Geez, Richard - aren't we being a bit ambitious with 270? However, gotta admit that I've always kinda been fascinated with following the growth here, and in our sister SIG B'hood.

The SIG Kadet B'hood started 2-2-2013 and is at 215 now, with members from 42 US states and 8 other countries.

The SIG B'hood started 1-21-2014 and trails slightly (about a year's worth) at 171 with members from 39 US states and 12 other countries.

Personally, I've always seen it all as a HUGE tribute to both, SIG designs and the Kadet in particular.

Of course the people at SIG wouldn't have anything to do with it.....or would they?

The Attic is where I have kits and some unfinished projects I have either been given or traded for. The problem is I'm at the point I'm none too stable on the attic ladder any more.

Well they should be pretty dry from being up there, better a dry kit than a warped wet one.

You could take the first 55 members and give them new numbers and maybe an alias, then the magic 270 is arrived at and we win. Isn't that the way it's done in politics? Thankfully it will soon be over and we can get back to the reality of our hobby.

OMG! I've GOT TO TELL that to my wife. She thinks I'm the worst joke teller in history. Yours is positive proof that there's somebody even worse than me.

Thanks!!

I don't get it. But I'll counter with this one.

Does anybody recognize this signature? It's on the Kadet I built in 1980.

That's a guy that I met at a flyin, in Cedar Rapids Iowa, back in 1961. He was with some guy named Maxet Hester.

I met Claude at the 2003 Nats in Muncie. I have some pictures of him and I but I can't find them right now. I'm going nuts trying to find them. When I do, I'll post

Ye GADS!!! We gotta EXPLAIN it ....

OK, "Politics is when the parrot ate the watch" - - watches tick. Poli's a parrot. She ate the watch (which ticks). Poli-tics.

OMG!
