Yeah, the downside of the laser cutter is the software to design the parts. That's my biggest hangup right now. Takes hours to get parts just right. The instrument panel for the Liberty Sport took me 4 hours, and it isn't 100% perfect fit either, It could be another 1/8" wider. I still have to go back and adjust the trailing edges for all the ribs, they are about 1/32" off and don't meet the trailing edge stock properly. I still have to test cut the formers and lay them out on the plans to make sure they match up.
I can see why they don't want to make new kits, R&D is time consuming. I have at least 100 hours into the ribs and IP alone.

Sig-Four-Star-40-kustomized
I customized my Sig Four Star 40 to look like a Super Sportster.
I made lots of changes to the Fuselage like moving the cockpit backwall forward and verticle, cutting the front top of the fuselage off and adding a half inch to the height and rounding it more followed by a built up Balsa nose. Wingtips changed to half teardrop shape and Balsa added to the tail feathers then shaped like the Super Sportster.
I also put a taller main gear on it.
I didn’t want it to look like a Four Star because they look so generic.
I now have an awesome Four Star!

For those who are fans of SIG kits in general, I've got a really new one for you. RIGHT NOW, e-bay has a Ramrod-250 ff 1/2a for $35.
Now, that's no real "news", but what IS news is that the kit # for this particular plane is INCORRECT on the SIG printed plans. The correct kit # is SIGFF-6, this one's listed as SIGFF-10, which is the Witch Doctor-800.
I might actually bid on this one, just to have it.

Just wondering - years ago, SIG had color photos sets of quite a few of their kits. Does anyone have the photo set for the RC27 Ryan STA?
Member in Australia is about to build the kit, would like copies of the color set - even pdf would be great.
Thanks

A quick search on the net will turn up an almost unlimited number of colour pix of John Gosney' Ryan STA.
