Today i made the maiden flight - this is one off the best planes I have, it went off like a dream - it´s a joy to fly this plane.... Yiiihaaaaa
What we have been saying all along.

It is not a kit easy for beginners but a best rewarding aiplane once done and flying.

Enjoy the results of your ''hard labor'' . . .
and congratulations for a nice model.

You are right...[sm=red_smile.gif] I am glad that i did not put the kit away, but built it instead.
I have just made some changes to the wires holding the wing to the fuse.I did have some trouble getting the wing on when I was at the flying field, it was not easy to guide both wires into the small tubes in the wing at the same time.. I just shortened the rear wire with 2 milimeter, hopefully this will make it easier to slide the wing back in place.

Shortening the rear cabane wire was a good idea allowing inserting the front wire a bit into the brass tube and then concentrating on the rear one.

I tapered the end of those wires for a length of about 3/16" at their ends and rounded off the very tip.
In my kitthese cabane wires were not bent at the proper angles and I had to do some work on that. I also hardened up the surfaces of the guiding structure that lines up the wires to their brass tubes.

It is all part of "fit" before gluing. The original shape of the cabane wires were giving me plus one degree of decalage to the bottom wing instead of minus one degree. I had to make modificatons inside the fuselage to get the proper decalage called for in the drawings.

All a lot of fun and the satisfaction of doing things correctly.

Some of those kits are still sitting on someone's shelves and the above may help future builders.

I hope ___

I'm sure I for one will find all these hints and tips helpfull as I picked up an NIB kit off ebay recently and will be starting work on it soon. Build threads such as this are pure gold when it comes to finding potential pitfalls and finding work-arounds, so thanks to all who contribute to them .
