I would give some thought to the force of the generators too. The wing mounts are good for a conventional wing but yous will pull and push much more. I have no doubts about the ability of that #64 rubber holding a regular wing though as I have seen some crash and the rubber band will still be holding when the plane is splinters.

After pondering this for about a day I decided to replace my standard j hooks and went with a heavier wood screw type eye hook. Now i can use a zip tie and do not have to worry about the zip tie slipping off of the eye hook. I also soaked the wood with thin ca and added a small amount of epoxy to the threads. I hope this will work.

Ok.... here it is with only the base colors done. I've got a long ways to go... 3-d flag on the tail fin and rudder, flame job on the nose and SFGs, RED BULL logos on the wings and fuse sides, horiz stab etc... if you haven't guessed it yet i'm doing a Kirby Chambliss Red Bull theme.

And a close up of the pilot (still need to trim the canopy). Kirby wanted too much money for this ride so I had to hire this mangey mutt.

Well, here it is. I was kind of afraid of how it would turn out but I think it turned out pretty good. Let me know what you think. The bottom fuse is yellow and the wing bottoms are plain.

Well I'm not done yet... still have the 3-d flag on both sides of the tail fin and rudder... and some stripes on the bottom of the wing and stab.
You can also see the "Red Bull" lettering on the fuse side here.

I'm thinking of changing powerplants on this bull... originally I was going to use the os50sx off of my old SE but I'm kinda leaning towards a 4 stroker. os70surpass... saito72 or saito82... hmmm... partly depends on my wife [&:].
Any thoughts from the peanut gallery????

The flag is done! Only thing left is to stripe the bottom of the wings and stab with some 3 or 4 inch stripes and the covering will be done!

OTE - I really like the looks of the flag. Also - I was thinking about the shot of the trophy that LJ posted and decided that it's a good thing that it doesn't have wheels on it because it would probably be missing one or two by now!!!!

Here's an update (sorry no new pics).
All covering is done! All servos mounted!
Still need to make the links for the ailerons and elevator.
I did decide on the Saito 82 for power and I just got it today! Been fiddling around with the throttle linkage (the thing I hate most about 4 strokes) all day. Finally got a setup that I think I'm happy with. Unfortunately, since I changed my mind for the power plant at the end of my build and covering job, I had to hack at the left fuse cheek to make clearence for the throttle arm, low end mix needle access, etc... Oh well... you'll have that... Atleast it's not a prized scale project. If that's the only battle scars that this thing gets for awhile I guess I can be happy with that.
I'll try to get a fully assembled pic posted soon.
It'll be a month or more before I can give a flight report... -20 to -30 wind chills here right now. [:'(]
