Finished the Plane-The pictures were taken on a glass top table-one shot you can see the reflection of the bottom side. I like the way it looks and hope it flies well. Thanks "Grey Beard" for your inspiration on the tail dragger and pull system.

That looks great. Being as color blind as I am I'm sure I could keep an eye on that one in all the light conditions. Most of my own planes have been yellow in the past. This little SIG is going to be red and white. I wouldn't be able to see it well but the owner has no problems and picked the colors.

Had the maiden flight today-WOW! I thought I was ready for fast but this thing is crazy. I might be getting a little old for this kind of speed. Very nice flying plane for it's size. Half throttle is faster than the fastest plane I own. This is going to be fun. Be sure to post the build. Thanks again.

Elecfly-very nice plane and good choice for the bottom. Real good job for you first, hope you have alot of fly time-that sucker is going to move. Puts the excitement into the sport. Let me know how it flies.

Ya-you don't want to warm up with a trainer. Be ready to turn, thats all i can say! the plane is not that big and can get away from you. Good rule of thumb-Remember your last input and trust it. Good luck.

No! I sure like yours, but fabricated the seat and control out of balsa and laminated a peice of paper with some ink drawn circles and glued it up-took about 10 minutes. Oh ya, my wife painted the pilot.

Oh ok just checking.. lol
How are you refilling yours? Removing the pipe from the carb and fill from there? Mine is not that accesable with the rear needle valve.I Kept the line tight so im going to spli it and put a filter in and then that will be my acces point for refills

I have a small 90 deg. coupler on the main line, it's still hard to get at. It has very little room with the 46 stuffed into the plane, but i can refuel. I never use filters, just one more area to leak or what ever! I filter my fuel three times (3-fliters) before it goes into the tank and the tank itself was cleaned real well.

You know you just gave me an idea-I think I will put a small "T" fitting in then attach a small peice of line to the cross portion of the "T" with a fuel dot that can be pulled off and fueled from. I don't think it will flood the engine because the fuel should take the easiest path. ??? anyone out their try this.

That was what i was thinking, can also pinch the line going to the carb while refuelling, have two spare hands anyway with electric fuelpump.

Why not just make your tank A three line, two klunks + pressuer??? Then either make your own or buy A fuel dot for the fill drain line.
I don't like to over think things.
Years ago I had my way cool filler valve stick and end that days flying with that plane. French is right, stay away from those things. Never seen one not go bad over time.
A three line is just A normal set up with the third line set up just like the main line to the carb with A clunk so it stays down when you drain the tank. The outside of this line pulls out of the dot for filling and draining.
On A cowled plane I always like to use A small piece of fuel line slid over the lines to the pressure and carb lines as keepers and I never remove these two lines or clamp them to stop the fuel flow. Nothing like holes in your lines to slow you down.
A three line tank just works and I don't have to think about it. That thinking stuff hurts!!

You are right again. Three line system would work perfect. This will have to be a Winter project for me. The tank, engine and the works must come out-Just not up for it on this plane at this time. Sure wish i thought of it when assembled, but you always need projects for winter in Wisconsin.
Take the advice Electfly.

Defueling through the tee took a little longer because of the airleak at the carb.
Thanks for the reminder! I was wondering about fueling on a 25fx going into my 15Shrike. It's a tight fit with the rear needle.

Only problem with it is by not removing my pressure line and hooking it up to my over flow bottle I waste some fuel and some clubs or fields don't like it when you mess up there field.
In the case of the Kobra it's just for racing and by using fuel line over fuel line to keep it on the nipples you shouldn't remove the lines. Too hard to get them back on.

Yes the third line would be ideal , but the tank and everything is closed up already, If I have problems with the fueling I will cut the tank out and do the 3rd line.
But for now , too much work

Just put my first tank of fuel through the motor, the maiden is near.
Also took the Kobra to the lhs and they said everything 100% for flight!
No I just need to spunge in the battery and receiver and its go time.
