There's nothin' nicer lookin' than a plane in the white! The only thing about one is nobody knows what a great job we did after all the covering and trim is added.
Can't wait to see some finished photos!
What do 'ya think so far? I'm thinkin' of ordering one to add to the STACK of kits I already have.

wgeffon,
Please tell us a little bit about what is in the kit. Is it as complete as the other Morris kits? On a scale of one to five how would you rate it? Is it more or less detailed to build than say their Su-Do .40? Are you beefing it up in any area's to handle the 4 stroke I feel you're going to go with, or are you doing anything to try and lighten it up at all? Thanks for your input, I might have to have one of these.

Its a Morris kit once you open the box. It builds a little differently though. Ribs are on tabs and the wings are built right side up. Other than that, those are the only differences I see so far.
Yes, I am putting a Saito .72. I am going to build it per plans sand not change anything. I have the first one off the production line and the Morris people wanted to see how it builds from the instructions and plans that they just made.
Got the left panel done today and now I'm halfway through the right side wing panel.

Wayne, the pictures make it look like the I-beam wood is not touching on all four sides of the rib and spars. Let me know your intent on that. Keep the pics coming and I will keep watching your progress to check that you are going in the right direction. Everything else looks good. Jeff

Jeff,
I used the wood supplied for the Shear webs (I-Beams) with the grain going vertical. Doing it this way, the pieces arent wide enough to fit completely inbetween the ribs. They are glued up against each rib on the inboard side. Same support as far as I could tell and a lot less work on cutting them to fit.
Wing is just about done. Need to build the hatch covers and do the cap strips. Then its on to the sticks!

If I would stop flying my New Aero-Works Edge maybe I could get more work done on the Sledge.
Bottom sheeting is done and Aileron servos installed.

Wayne, that is fine I would think. I never have flown one without the webbing being I beamed on all four sides. You will be the judge if that is strong enough. I know the way I have done it is very strong. By the way, the bottom of the wing looks right on. Keep up the good work, soon we will see fuse shots and flying surfaces from Wayne. I need to order a kit from Morrris to start the construction video.
On another subject, I talked to the guy about the carbon fiber gear, and he will start production first of next week. I would think I will have them for sale and ready to ship by the following Monday 8-19. (I can supply a digital photo of them on my sledge.) They are available in black, blue, red and yellow, they are supposed to be 20 dollars plus shipping, that price is not final though. Those of you interested email/call me or TNT gear is supposed to stock them also. [email protected]
Here is a first, I could log in to rcu two times today with no problems.
Thanks Jeff.

Smitty 400, email me quick at [email protected] to get on the list for this gear. I have only 6 of each color coming for the first run and I have already 4 sets spoken for. They are the perfect size for the sledge, by the way thanks for purchasing a sledge.
