Is there a one piece or better motor mount for the Mayhem? Mine shifted over the weekend. I got it fixed but it is probably one of the few things on the buggy that isin't designed well.

all of the pro and rtr parts are interchangeable. any part for the mayhem will fit your rtr just as any part from your rtr will fit a pro. there is a guy on here that makes a rather bizzare looking brace specifically for the mayhem for around $20. I can't remember his name so just do a search.

The new long motormount part number is: SWK9928. Maybe you will need to make some hole in the chasis.
Another hand, JustinWZP talking about the Chassis Brace. He sell it in eBay for 24.95
I dont have idea who to post the image in this forum.

Someone check the Shims.
Why in the manual the Front/Rear Differential one use one Shims in one side? I check the Mayhem RTR only have one Shims in one side of each Front/Rear Differential. Another point I check is the Steering Bellcrank in the manual cannt have shims, but I check in the buggy I find use in this part five shims.
Some idea.

I have shims on the right side outdrive shaft on rear diff and left on front. If you put in the aluminum diff covers move shim to other side.

I think most people put ARO in both the carb and glow plug hole, at least I do. I usually put 3-4 drops in the glow plug hole and turn the motor over a couple of times..How long do u guys wait B4 putting ARO in the engine? I usually put it in when I get home from bashing which would be like 1 hr or so..

Hi RCDadChicago.....I had this problem and in the forum somebody help me fix this problem.
You will need to take off the air filter of the carb. Applying the brake and see how many space have for enter the air. In my case I hace 3mm of space.
If you dont have a lot of space for enter the air, the carb cannt make the mix of air with fuel. This is the reason the engine stop.
By the way, my setting is HS: 2 1/2 LS: 2

Hey all. Question. I have a Mayhem RTR that I changed and installed a new steering servo Pro shock towers and crime fighter tires.I also installed a Kania edition engine. I have noticed that my buggy doesn't have the steering these days. I just seems to push and push. I changed nothing else.Same weight shock oil as stock as well as the diff lube. Any suggestions?

I had the same thing
I had a hitec 645 servo
and switched to hitec 5625 digital and had much better steering
the original horn was turning loose on the servo output also
you got to see the max trow in your steering, you must be able to make rounds in front of you at the trackwide in the first place
are your tires still good enough?
I milled the 2mm of the front arms also
are the balls of the steering system free enough?

Also, try and get some after run oil, motorsaver air filter oil, and threadlock if you don't have them already. Zip ties are always good. Hmmmmm thats all i can think of now. Good choice on your first Nitro.. Mayhem's are cool[8D]

Hey GDC02
The odd thing is , is that all I did was remove the "stock" jr servo for steering and replaced it with one I had bought that was higher torgue. It's a Blue Bird I got from Ebay. Not a high dollar one but I run the same one for steering in my Monster GT with great luck.It just seems to "push" in the corners and just doesn't handle well anymore.I was thinking about a lesser weight diff lube in the rear end but my buddy is telling me to run thicker stuff. I know that on the street in a real car a "locked diff" (thicker lube) makes the REAL car not turn as good.

You could try to switch the two steering servos and see if the result is the same. The bluebird servos are known to be a little inconsistent in quality so maybe they doesn't work equally good.

I'll give that a shot. Maybe just swap the throttle which is the stock servo with the steering and see what happens. How about the lube in the rear diff tho.

i got my sport werks buggie a week ago. broke it in and on my last tank of gas it died. pulled the plug out and it was messed up on the in side. i bought a stock replacement plug and it started right up. after 3 passes it keeps dieing. when i put the glow starter back on it will runn. take it off and it dies. maybe a bad plug? so i tried a plug off of my revo and it started right up. i set the stock needle set up. i have tried to tune this thing and when i hit full speed it wants to die. and its blowing alot of smoke. i need to know what the stock setting are and ill go from there. what kinda plug are you guys running? i got two new rc cars. the sport werks buggie and a revo. i am having so many problems with tuning my revo im going to go crazy. the buggie i wanted so bad and i work for a hobby shoppe so i got it at cost. now i think its fried. off the get go it did not want to stay running. it just bogged down. so i leaned out the bottom end started atcing good. the buggie seems really fast they had it clocked at 49mph im a rc mag. im looking for more bottom end though. im running a tight track. speed is good but i need more bottom end. any way any help would be nice.

Just wanted to let you know that when my mayhem was new I broke in the engine and only really had to lean out the high end a little bit to make it run.It ran GREAT. I dont know what the stock setting are off hand but I dont know if you have to touch the low end at all.I have been running Mccoy mc-59 plugs in mine with great luck. I run S & W 20% in it.
