OK, I did something tonight that appears as if it had to help the steering. I ground off some lower steering knuckle. There is a flat piece of the knuckle that sticks out and when turning it hits the suspension arm where the pillow ball screws in. I may find out this weekend if I race. I'll let you know.

Giles - what did you have to do to get the Mugen body to fit?
Also, does anyone know what kind of difference it makes to switch to a JP-1 pipe on the Pro w/.21, from the Sportwerks pipe?
Thanks

Well, I got my Mayhem RTR last night - the car is beautiful, plushest suspension, and...
I think Sportwerks is updating their kits for sure; the front shock tower is nearly twice as thick as the rear shock tower.

IMPORT EU:
not for the moment
I noticed one is racing in Italy
in Belgium the importer of LST trucks for belgium and france
is having one in the showroom but he isn't importing for the moment
but in EU, due to stupied customs regulations and cost of living
the Mayhem would have to be sold too expensive I think
the pro kit for around 500-525 euro or 665-700.00
the RTR even 625 euro or 799.00
the LST is being sold in the shops for 799 euro or 1225.00 !
the JR radio must be a 40.000 Mhz too
not for the moment

drive shafts :
I found this in my archives
"One of the guys at the track I race at also needed to replace his front drive axles and found that the offna 9.5 ones will work.I found that gs storm outdrive cups will interchange(for the center drive shafts) and also found that a kyosho outdrive will work in place of a stock one if necessary. The guy I was talking about used offna 9.5 front universals in place of the cvds because he was in the same situation as you.and it worked great for him."
and one guy said LST truck mid diff driveshafts are a fit at half the price ?

The body was an mbx5 body the crowd pleazer version. Basically what I had to do was trim a little more off the front where the steering comes through the body. The front body mount hole was drilled a little infront of the factory marked one. The hole for the engine head to come through was cut a little further back then what was outlined from the factory. Also when cutting the body out at the bottom. Try and leave as much matterial at the back as possible. I also had to flip the rear boddy mount upside down. This allowed the back of the body to cover the whole chassie. All I do is put the back of the body on first and then pull it down over the front. I don't even have to use a pin on the back being as how it is puside down. It is kindof hard to explain. but the body looks awsome and didn't take alot of work. The jp-1 made a huge diff in my .26. I don't know if it will help the .21 as much or not but I imagine it would. Also just by switching to O'donnel fuel I was able to lean the engine out 1.5 turns and it still runs about 20 or 30 degrees cooler. I was running trinity 30% before now I am running O'donnel 20%.

Giles try this for your steering, I picked this up from another board also:
OK, a couple more discoveries. First, the steering. I am running the RTR. And I noticed that the steering servo was loose. Actually just looked close enough to notice it today. Turns out the 2 screws that hold the rear of the servo to the mounting block are too long and don't thread all the way in. So you can either cut the screws or add a couple shims. I added a couple shims and it's locked down nice and tight now. Much better performance.
And the next tip is for anyone using the JR R135 receiver. I had heard a rumor but couldn't find proof until I did this myself. But if you plug the battery into the battery slot of the receiver, you'll only get 4.8 volts to the servos no matter how big the battery is. Modify the battery plug so it fits into the AUX slot and just look at the difference! Much faster servo response and more power in the steering. It's a noticeable difference! I am also putting an R135 in my Nitro RS4 and my Savage SS and will be doing the same for them. Solves a number of problems with low steering power.

Yea it is great that we are starting to get alot of interest in the mayhem. It is a great buggy and a steal of a deal. If everybody saw how good this thing is then all the other companies would be out of buisness. There is no reason why the other buggies are so expensive if we can get a buggy of this quality and performance for less than 400 bucks. Lets keep the good info coming. Something else I have noticed is the people that own a myahem aren't as coocky and self centerd as the rest! Lets keep the good attitude and lets keep this forum as bash clean as it is now!

I called www.tfbraceway.com today, asked the man that picked up a few questions and didn't mention I had a Mayhem until the end of the conversation... the man perked up talking about how great the car is. He said that most of the racers in his area use the Mayhem and that he has a few parts in stock; not because of availability, but because the car is so reliable. Pointless, but I thought I would share because these guys get drilled the same questions everyday. This is the first time I got such a great response about a car/truck.
I do not know if anyone has heard of Toys for Boys - they have three race tracks on site. Very cool place.
