Is a Ford better than a Chevy? Which models are you comparing?

I have Associated servos in my Hyper 8.5 which are made by ACE. I do not have it quite running yet so I have not had a chance to try them to voice an opinion but I have heard nothing but good about them. Will still be running my Hyper 8 for the next couple of weeks till I get time to finish my 8.5 and break in the engine.

Just to give people another brand name to look for when trying to find these servos.

2008 HoBao Open
http://www.neobuggy.net/modules/news...p?storyid=3213
Buggy -
1. Wenyi - Hong Nor
2. Indra Liyono - XRAY
3. San Miao - HoBao
This is what confuses me. Is the winner someone who drove a Hobao 8.5 pro or Hong Nor 8.5 pro or what?
And what did 3rd place drive?
Why isn't there more clarity in what cars pro's drive?

Ok, so let me ask you this. Everytime I bring up the Hobao 8.5 Pro with people racing in my area, why is it met with giggles?
It seems there is a thought in my area that the 8.5 Pro is more of a starter kit/buggy when compared to say the Losi 8ight or Mugen and X-Ray. Why is it that it doesn't get as much respect when I see the buggy placing high in European races?
Thoughts?

The biggest problem is theirs not as much racing support for it over here as over seas. This is slowly changing. A lot of people base their opinion on what something cost. Keep in mind one of the reasons HoBao can keep there prices down is they manufacture all there own parts as well as make parts for other brands like Kyosho. Keep in mind it is not the buggy that wins races it is more so the driver!

Here's my 8.5 with her OS VZB And yes I know that is a RTR body, but it is my race only body and when she is on the shelf. This buggy is very very hard to break I mean it you can take it and nascar roll it off a jump and it land on it wheels and drive away like nothing happen.

what do the 18, 20 and 22 degree c-hub adapters do? looks like with the 22 the inside wheel turns more and with the 18 they turn almost the same. i have the 18 degree's on the hyper st and it is turning very nicely.

It is different degrees of caster.
More caster aids stability, and handling in bumpy sections.
Less caster increases steering drastically.
Steering feels much more direct, the car turns tighter and faster.
