The surf is supposed to get huge tomorrow Doc.

Justin just blew up his dude, the waves were very powerful today.

His dude is expanded Poystyrene foam, had not seen that variant yet, we searced the shoreline for the missing arm, should have washed ashore, came up empty handed...

No more RC Surfing this weekend, Justin has a few pics from today, maybe see them soon.

Ha! Cool pix Justin!
Fun day even with the rough conditions!

Canazi, that board looks great, wondering about the wieght distribution with the motor back, battery front.
Appears the battery pack is tucked in low and into the belly keel, I like that, was any additional wieght added for righting ballast?

Looks like a very short prop shaft, I like that as well.

Hope to hear how it surfed!

May have been large waves but really not clean like we like it, very bumpy and rough, super powerful white waters that were hard to power through, some rough tumbles were had, was a good test of the boards and durability, just a broken foot O 'Ring for me but Justin's Dude had a rough day!

Question for the sctratch builders, I have some deigns in my head, when hollowing out the electronics bay it appears that most of the stringer is gone, does the "keel" feature on the boards help strengthen the board lengthwise?

The custom boards look awesome, really want to give it a try, have shaped a few full size boards that looked and rode good.

Hi Crew,

Well, I met Bob at "Poont Moore" this morning waves looked nice.
Started having a bit of fun and then snapped my steel shafted rudder off before the end of the first pack.
Came down backward pulling out through the lip on the end section and hit the sand.
What a bummer!

Wow, GREAT looking waves and pics Jimi!

Bummer on the rudder shaft man.

Workin' on putting together a good tool box of spares myself, chit happens.

I like Justin-sans' approach of having a ready to full rig as well.

This RC Surfing is a kick in the ass, love it!

Paia Bay, Maui's North Shore has been windy with large beach break waves.
Here are some pics from a few days ago when waves were small
