I dont think it matters how many gallons you run through it before it dies, more like is it broken in and tuned properly that makes the engine last. Ive heard of engines lasting 20 or more gallons.

answering a question like how many gallons of fuel will a engine last is a very hard question to answer. It is like asking how many gallons of fuel you can run through a automobile. when it loses compression you just resleeve it and replace the piston, and wit regular maintence it will last as long as you want. if you dont use after run oil, and dont maintain it, the engine life will decrease.

I dont know what you mean by suspension bearings, but yeah free wheel bearings cant be beat. I was gonna buy a set of bearings for it but i had decided to check it out first, im now glad i did. With the front driveshafts out if i spin one of the front wheels it spins for about two minutes.

ok now from what ive heard these rc car engins can last from 2-5 gal. my friend, who was not good at maintence had his for 2. his boss had his for 7 gal. i would check your engine temp very often if you are running wot half the time.

a guy at hobbytown told me that these 15 can run up to as much as 260 degeres! is that true? im not sure but theat sounds like way too much.

trail, what do you mean by proxy server or whatever, how do i use it?

The guy at the hobbyshop told me between 230-250 is your ideal running temp but that some engines like hotter and some like cooler. About the fuel ive run about two and a half gallons through my car and it runs great still.

Ive not had the need to rebuild mine yet so i wouldint know, im sure someone on here has had to rebuild. I cant find anything on a part number either so unless its just a generic rebuild kit for most engines or somthing im not finding much on it. However these prices here arnt bad if you wanna just get a new engine.

Yea, you need to replace the piston and sleeve, and they will run between $25-$35. Its kind of hard to justify, since you can get a entire brand new engine for just another $20 more. Just slap the old engine up on ebay and get $15 for it, or keep it for spare parts like the pull starter, cooling head, etc.....

You can also have your cylinder sleeve 'repinched'. There is also a tool you can buy for a reasonable price that does the job for you, and will restore lost compression.

hey guys i was just at the lhs today and i put on a new futaba servo for steering since my stock one took a crap. I was also gonna upgrade my clutch with a traxxas one they had and the tech guy there was talkin to me and told me if i want more acceleration out of my buggy to just cut down the shoes from the tail end and it will make it launch off the line and in acceleration. well i did i cut it down while i was there with his tools and wow what a differance this thing flys off the line i think with a little more tuning it will be doin wheelies and that with the stock clutch.

How much faster is a two speed cause i got a single speed but was thinkin about goin to two if it would make much difference. if not ill stick with the single cause it seems to be pretty reliable not much that can go wrong with a single speed.
