If those shocks are about 85mm your good, or even slightly shorter. The springs are fine, its the shocks that sorta lack performance in a big way. I personally think that an even more rigid springs could be used, but its all to the opinion of the owner. You see when it comes down to it, there really is no right or wrong working part...it ALL depends on driver prefrence.. What other items are you replacing? just curious....

i put on the duratrax evader st shocks front and back there a little longer stiffer springs they work great doesn't bottem out any more i find it handles alot better too
the only thing is you have to use a thinner screw to attach them to the suspension arms

Ronnydobbs,
Are you looking for bigger tires, if so these will work... http://h1071118.hobbyshopnow.com/pro...p?prod=HPI2185 , http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...odID=PRO105000 , the slicks at the bottom.... http://www.imexrc.com/2.2TIRES_NEW.htm . In fact just about any 2.2" X 2" tire will work...thats the safe size anyhow. Some of the 2.2" rims are offset also and thats good..it will help reduce rub and give you a wider stance (wheel base).

Riley,
That sounds awesome...I've been lookin at bigger motors also..naturefreak has the O.S. .18 Cv-rx I believe....its a perfect replacement I understand...and its at killer motor...insaine more power and torque.

Ronnydobbs,
Forgot to mention that with bigger tire come harder steering at slow speeds, but yo can fix this with a servo upgrade...I have the Futaba S3001's on mine, you can get the S3003's as a replacement to, which are a tad bit nicer, they are ball bearing but have the same torque.[8D]

Hey Riley,

The problem is that you will never know whats gonna go bad for you on the car...you'll just have to drive it and fix as you go. It would be a waste to buy 2 of everything..Good luck

I used to have 2 smartech winner sports, but sold 'em and got an evader. I didn't really care for the dtx .18 engine that came with it, but I had an extra SMT .15 engine left over from my buggy days, so I replaced duratrax engine with the smartech and my truck is sweet now! Check out my backyard bash fest!

That would be awesome...the steering knuckles the selves are absolute crap[:-] I broke one not 30 minutes ago. They always break right at the hex screw insert. I just order 3 more sets along with knuckle arm supports and swing arms..What a real disappiontment I tell ya.. I'd ;ikr to meet the guy who made the dicision to use plastic and...[sm=punching.gif] right on his freakin snout. Clint
