Hia..
yep 85 mm will work fine. I Used the Duratrax DTXC9001 (from Tower Hobbies) and they fit fine. They say they are 85mm in length..

Hey guys!! A quick question, Does anyone know the length of the shocks on the winner sport off hand, Im here at work and was looking for replacements...Im thinking about 85mm, and if so would just about any shock this length work?

I bought 80 and 90 mm shocks for my buggy and that works fine, 70 and 80 mm will also work fine. The original rear shocks are longer than the front shocks - or was it the other way??... Link to my shocks above on this page.
Good luck!

Thanks guys, I went with the Duratra Max.St's..I also installed a Futaba S3003 servo for my steering, I should be geting my other tomorrow...(shipped sep. Not sure why) I ordered 1 piece dogbones also, along with about 10 other pieces I'll need or do need since I wrecked my sons buggy, Ooops! I got him a fail safe and installed it also....which is why it was wrecked to begin with. Should have never ran without it.[&o]
Anyhow, I realized I didnt need the new servos after all, It turned out to be plain dirty joints and crap. Had to line up servo horn also, somehow that got messed up also. So now I've got extra servos, with I guess is fine. Hope to replace the tires soon also. Has anyone tried big tire like from the T-Maxx, Revo or other MT's, and will they work? Or is the 2.2 wheels the biggest we can go, but how big of tire? I guess if wheel is off set enough about anything would work. Just lookin for ideas, the On Road ones above are great, but what about OffRoad?

Well like I said before, steering hasnt been the greatest lately, at least to the right. Its even harder now. I've got a new problem that has to do with the front right steering. What do you think the problem might be?

So, I havent made a full damage list but I did a good job of wrecking this time. When this happened the dog bone went flying about 40 feet (literally) I looked for a good 30 minutes for it in the dark. (Note to all, don't drive at full speed around parked cars in the dark)

hey!
man that was a bad day!
well it's the first time somthing has gone wrong! I was just getting it warmed up, then I floored it and smashed into a pole thing, broke the front right wishbone, the fule tank and bent the drive shaft!!! [docphysics: I broke it but didn't have fun!]
it sucked at first but then I thought it was pretty cool that I could have a good look at it from the inside! [and upgrade stuff!]
My mate was filming some of it but he just missed the crash! I've uploaded a video of the damage on youtube so here's the link if you fancy a look, I've also got a video of when it was running well, racing cars and trains!...then it went a little funny!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0tSadPz-zI <<<the after smash
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TpZi_tfqdg <<<when it was good
Enjoy!
What is the best website to get parts?
thanks

i got the parts for my condor i and took it out for a blat this afternoon 20 seconds later both front shocks snapped and bent front shock tower due to an unfortunate speed hump incident (meant to go around it
). after a a bit of macgyver-ing and a couple of cable ties it was back in business, decided to avoid jumps though
some how managed to break a rear shock too so called it a day. thought the rear diff was busted but turned out to be a loose grub
all in all a fun outing. costing me about £50 though so a bit expensive but getting the hop up shocks front and back, new shock tower and a load of spare grubs so not to annoyed
funny thing was my mate some how managed to use my car as a ramp to do a pretty impressive jump
definately broken and fun afternoon and learning more about the car with every bash

Ped90:
A Failsafe is a device that will save your car if it goes out of range or the car batteries run out. you hook it up to the receiver and you can set it so that the throttle servo automaticly brakes or just goes to idle position if you drive it out of range or run out of batteries. Before i got the failsafe I forgot to turn on the TX once, started the car and it went flying on full throttle with no steering
Luckily it hit a jump and landed in neighbours hedge with no damage except the air filter came off and engine stopped running.. Always remember to turn your TX on first!
or get a failsafe

Very nice ped90...Your buggy looks alot like mine now....except my fuel tank is still intact. I got my new shocks today (DuraTrax Shock Set Blue Maximum ST Pro's) I installed and noticed right away the springs are much too soft. I put the original springs on them and they seem to be fine. Anyhow, I had more time to look at my wrecked car also to make a more clear damage report for myself. Broken steering knuckle, bent shock, bent shock mounting screws (both sides), and broken servo saver.....not bad huh?
Well, I ordered the parts late lastnight so I should be back on the road in like a month..lol. Just seems that long waiting for parts.
Now I've read this before in several places from Rc'ers here, but figured I'd just repeat it. if you have to order parts that look to break easiest, buy more than one at once...that has been great advise for me. Once I get the buggy going I'll get some more pic's posted of the changes made.
Today my son and I went to a local indoor track and watched the electric tour cars....pretty cool I must say. I might have to look into one after a I somday buy a Monster Truck...they look like fun. Talk at ya guys later. Clint

where do you order your parts from? I want to get my car running as soon as I can really but I don't know where to find the best parts for my model for a decent price, I don't know if other parts for different models can be used on the smartech.
cheers

LOL..Man!!, ped90 I just wrote you a ton of info, but lost it when my window closed on accident. I was telling you that i get most all my stuff from www.excelhobby.com . They have by far the best prices and most everything you'll need.
As far as matching parts goes, there are several. Its just figuring out the models and so on that work with smartech. I have a few hop ups, but nothing too grand. I would like to find a shock tower and other steering parts that work in aluminum..ie..steering knuckles, swing arms, knuckle supports..etc. So if anyone out there knows just give me a hauler. I have seen blue alum. shock towers on a Winner Sport before, just don't know the brand/model they came from.[&o] I could really use a stronger cross support piece for the front suspension, I've replace three in the last 2 weeks. If you bump anything at a semi high speed rate, kiss it goodbye. I my try to just make an aluminum one, father in-law's a welder, and sure to have scrapes big enough. Take Care, Clint

just bought these shocks for my acme condor [link]http://www.sriremotetoys.co.uk/30222aa-upgraded-bottom-aluminium-shocks-pair-p-519.html[/link]
trouble is i thought they'd be a straight replacement but instaed of spcers for the top it comes with those two ball headed things which when i try fitting them there is to much play. the original spacers are to big and i don't wanna half arse fitting them cause i can't afford to have them break on me straight away. Any suggestions or a complete step by step idiot guide with diagrams would be much apprieciated
this is a diagram of the original ones for reference [link]http://www.sriremotetoys.co.uk/30221-plastic-shocks-wsleeve-spacer-sets-p-276.html[/link]

The ball looking things go on the bottom and the other end is the top that the space goes into. At least thats the way all my cars have been. See if that works better...Clint

blimey ronnydobbs! that doesn't sound good! lol! well I hope that's not the problem with mine, + I have bigger issues atm after a crash! I think it may have been because it haddent warmed up propperly yet or it wasn't tuned right to get enough speed to change gear but I'll have a look and see if it works when I get it back into action!
cheers!

RatBoy,
Yeah the balls that are in there are fine, ou dont have to pop out the old ones or anything. Jus make sure those are at the bottom. Let me know if you have anymore troubles with it. Clint[8D]

raidentech is out of servo's so that option out. But is there a way to uprgade to a different servo. a better one that fit in the speedy tiger. And can you put a 2 gear system in a speedy tiger simpely.
#1699
Sure..you can buy the gearing for the winner sport and fit them with a couple changes but I noticed they can be a pain sorta unless you really know what your doing with them. And as far as servo's You can get those from almost any RC Hobby shop. I changed mine to Futaba S3001's and they work great. Be sure thats the real problem though...check all your links and most important your servo savers...look at the manual for the location and all. Hope that helps...I have also ordered from Excelhobby and no problems yet. They have the best selection of parts by far, with decent shipping rates.
