Get some fresh 20% fuel prime the carb with like 2 drops of fuel and try it again giving a little throttle and it should fire up if its not flooding. If it seems to be flooding try leaning the top end needle some. Priming is always the easiest way to fire it back up after sitting because the engine tends to gum up. Keep adjusting the needles and you should be able to get it, always have another glow plug around that you know is good to make sure that isnt the problem.

Please don't, if the car is flooding before it starts then adjusting a high end needle will not help. If you understand how a carb works the low end needle is backed off too far thus allowing the carb to load up and flood.... do the fuel line hiss method on the low needle for proper adjustment...this will stop the flooding out...Once the car is running then set the high needle to proper optimum rpm with smoke!

The high end needle will cause the engine to flood if giving it some throttle so do try what I said, the low end needle is for idle mixture only and only effects low rpm speed. Once you get it fired up then you can make the low end adustments you need for proper idle quality and mixture. Burybware, when starting the engine I always give a small amount of throttle so the low end needle will have no effect, period. If you start your engine with no throttle then yes the low end needle can make it flood.

open your carb look at the needle if the low end is closed it won't allow fuel to enter! back it off till you hear a hiss while blowing through the fuel tube then you know your getting fuel! It is a air fuel mixture Air coming thru the carb throat and fuel comming thru the needle..needle closed shut and you get no mixture!

As the barrel rotates back and the throttle come open the lowend needle will back off its seat...And fuel will enter at that point ...If that needle is closed to far, you would have to open your throttle past half throttle while starting the car to get the neddle to back off the seat.....
Why not just adjust it the correct amount before going through the hassle of trying to figure out how far to open the throttle to get it fuel to flow so it will start......
I don't think this guy is worried how you start your rig kyokai2, I would think he wants to know how to set his up so it will start effectively everytime! The method i have described is in the o.s manual and is comon sense on how carburators work!
If this is good for you then great, but why make it difficult for him..Carburation is not rocket science, so do the easy setup method discribed and your car will start....
Thanks Tom
