The bottom part of an old Bananna (Bannana?) box works for me...you can get 'em at the grocery store, free.

that sucks...losi is coming out with a type of carrier that goes under the car and over the wheels to keep all the dirt and junk together so it doesnt get all over your car. heres one i might pick one up.

Not to be rude or anything but, I think his truck is gone for good. I don't know about the whole garbage system but, do they really look in every bag? I would start looking at the MGT 8.0 (or the first MGT since it is only $50 more). Good luck

Sheesh, I'd go nuts! Sounds like you want to upgrade, anyway?
I would've gone down all the streets looking for the trash man. Or maybe called the trash company, and asked the routes they take, if I didn't know.

Wow man that sucks, I know my dad did something like that. Came home from a hunting trip with 2 trash bags full of hunting clothes and regular clothes. The next day was trash day and didnt think twice, and threw it all away. There must have been $700+ of clothing and assorted things in those trash bags. But yeah man I definnately feel for ya man that definately sucks.
I think we all feel for ya, but go out and buy another, and make a few phone calls after you buy your new one. If you happen to get the other one back (the one you threw away)then you just have 2 to play with now instead of just 1, if ya know what I mean. Twice the fun, if ya get it back.
Best of luck with that man.

I made a couple phone calls, no one found anything suspicious. Thing is, they deal with hundreds of thousands of of tons of junk, mostly in black bags. Unless it came out and was apparent to be non-trash, no one would notice. And anywy, there are probably tons of toy cars and other vehicle like things that go into the garbage, so even just seeing a tire or something probably wouldnt get anyones attention. Its likely that its nicely crushed and on its way to a landfil now
Oh well, a lesson for us all.... just wish it wasnt a $430 lesson.

That happened with my hunting clothes a few years ago, I kept them in trash bags to keep the "people scent" from the house out of them after they were washed and someone picked them up and threw them out. We caught them before they collected the trash though...
Now I use CLEAR trash bags. Simple solution, and cheaper than any other idea.
As for my RC cars... I throw them in the trunk dirty. Then I just hose out the trunk. One of the benefits of driving a stripped out car with no trunk carpet or panels...

wow, that's quite a crazy mistake. did you get a new truck yet?
on a side note, my friend is a garbage man, about 3-4 years ago he was dumping a can, as he was dumping it he noticed a envelope with a little green sticking out of it that had come from another can, not the can he was dumping. It had 1300 dollars in it. How someone makes that mistake is beyond me. who keeps that much cash in a envelope, then accidentally dumps it. heheheh
