Thanks for the advise, I will get a low profile servo once my perfectly good servo breaks if and when it may do..there is no point in getting it just now..

I'm just hoping the outlet I'm going through has all the components on hand when I get ready to order. I already have the motor, so the "all-up" cost will be somewhere around $360 US for everything else I need. I also need a body for that last M05, so that will bring the total to close to $400.

I broke down and am getting the 3Racing F113.
It's the most complete kit (it comes with wheels and tires, body, wing, front diffuser - things other kits don't include), so I'm not searching for parts online, and possibly get the wrong ones, as this is my first F1.
If I went with anything else, I would probably be spending about an extra $100 to $150, or maybe more.
So I'll see if the F113 is any good. From what I've seen, it will be a good first F1 kit, then when I get to know what the "hot items" are, I will do another, from another company, probably a Tamiya. That won't be for a while, though.

If I like how it drives, and more importantly, if I want to drive it a lot, I'll, get another. I make improvements as I go along, so I can have three or four projects going at the same time. It's getting into the cold and wet season here, so my driving time is drastically reduced (with the exception of drift, which I can do in my garage, all day, if I want ), So I'll need projects over winter, and this F1 is the first. That's why I said it probably won't be for a while, until I get another F1, If I do, because the soonest I can drive it will most likely be around March or April. I tend to do a number of the same thing, then move on to another chassis type.
I did drift for seven, going on eight years, and have six drift chassis. I did "M" class for four, and have six chassis. If my history stays the same, I'll have, after it's all done and over with, another six F1 chassis!

Can you keep this thread for cs'ing the ta06 maybe? You should get cracking with a new thread and let's see it develop...
from what you say.. You are either very seriously into rc as a hobbie or don't really have other hobbies and spend all your free time and cash on rc car stuff hehe!

Yep! Actually both.......I'm retired, so I have all day for whatever I want to do (in between errands for my elderly mother). I was into other, more dangerous stuff, that was pretty expensive, so I find RC fairly inexpensive and FAR less dangerous!
As far as a new thread....For what? The F1? I am thinking I won't, seeing as how I can't post pics. I was thinking of a build thread, but I'm not sure if it's this site or something on my laptop that's preventing pics from uploading, but until that's resolved, I can't post anything, so no new threads. Sux.

Took a look - RC4WD stuff is high-quality stuff. They're well-known here, and they're pretty big in the scale/trail truck scene. I do rock racers, myself, as trail trucks are a bit "ho-hum" to me, driving-wise. I used to compete in rock crawling, so rock racers are the next evolutionary step.
But back to the Gelande......Nice truck. Quality parts. If you can stand trail truckin', you can give it a try!

The tensioner looks good but no real improvement on the standard kit position?.
are you going to replace a lot of the standard parts with alloy parts?

RC4WD is a great company. They make very high-quality stuff, and were into crawling and trail, but since trail is the "big thing" these days, here, in the US, they go where the money is.
Trail trucking is fine for some people, but I "cut my teeth" in crawling, so I'm a bit particular about the level of difficulty I like to tackle. To me, trail trucks are boring, by comparison, BUT.....they are great for the detail oriented RC enthusiast. I am detail-oriented, but hate to see that detail get thrashed if the trail truck rolls, or otherwise gets damaged.
RC Rock racers are today's answer to what RC rock crawling was, just a few years ago. RC crawling was slloooooooowwwwwww.........the differences between RC and 1:1 rock crawling were pretty stark. 1:1 rock racers bump and bounce up rock piles, and there are more fails than successes at every 1:1 rock crawling event. RC rock crawling didn't look anything like 1:1 rock crawling, then.
Today, the two are very close to each other. Both bump and bounce up rock piles, and the same number of fails and successes can be seen. To delineate the difference between RC rock crawling and RC rock racing, the two terms mean two different things, whereas 1:1 rock crawling is still called "rock crawling," today.
Now....the differences between trail trucking and rock racing are also stark. Trail trucks can never tackle what rock racers can, so the terrain trail trucks traverse is mild, in comparison to rock racers. To me, I just don't find where the "challenge" is, to trail trucking, but if I ever did a trail truck, it probably wouldn't be driven but spend it's time on a shelf, as I wouldn't want to damage the detail work, which, if you look at some trail trucks on Youtube, are pretty nice, and the amount of labor that went into them can easily be seen. The two vendors are just describing different aspects of the same thing. The S6070 is fast, at .9 transit speed (most servos are around .15 to .20 transit speed, by comparison), digital, with a torque rating (at 6V) of 125oz.in. So, the two vendors are selling the same thing, one is just asking more for what they offer, that's all.
