RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
Probably the Lehner 5300 and a MGM Compro 80 ESC.

Not my favorite system but It should fit your application well. MGM has pretty good customer service.
Probably the Lehner 5300 and a MGM Compro 80 ESC.
I am also still considering the Feigao 380C-6L motor. Even though it is just 380 sized, I've heard it packs a punch and does very well in 1/10th scale 2wd trucks.

Or what about the Fiegao 540 8s motor? How does it compare the to the Lehner 5300?

Also, I have another ESC in mind but it's a little expensive (about $200), but the company is great, best customer service in the world.

Thats the same thing I was thinking about the 380 motor, but everybody on RCmonster says its great for a Rustler or Stampede. I don't think I will try it though.

The Quark Competition (80a). These guys are awesome, truly the best customer service I have ever dealt with. It can handle 18 ni-mh cells, and 6 lithium polymer cells. I have the 33a for my mini lst and it is great.

I did notice the ESC has a 8 cell limit.[] I wasn't planning on running any more then that, but I would like to have the option to run dual packs. I guess thats out of the question now though

It would be a much better choice then the 380, hell we run 380's in 1/18. My personal favorite motors are made from Hacker and Plettenberg. IMO you can't go wrong with any them. Just something to think about while your still browsing.
Or what about the Fiegao 540 8s motor? How does it compare the to the Lehner 5300?
Is the Feigao 380C-6L a 380 sized motor? or is it the regular 540 size?
As mentioned, it has a 400 size rotor, because of it's length & heatsink it has the size of the 540 can on the outside. I believe the 5800 is ~13-12T (some say 10T) performance. The 6L is more like 7-8T. Similar in power & amp draw to the 5.5T GTB. ~550watts peak (100A+ spikes) when you nail the throttle for couple secs, then goes to ~350watts (over 40amps) or so to keep zipping at 40+mph. This assumes 6cell. 7cell is better. Some use 8-10cell, but bearing life will suffer then.

The 8 cells is kind of a downside, the ESC I listed can run 18 cells. [8D][&:][X(][>:][:@]

f150dan-- good luck with the BL upgrade. I'm stickin' with my 5800 for now. My dad just put a SS5800 system in his stampede, so I've finally got some competition!(I also set him up with RPM bearing carriers)

Yea, I had alot of fun with the SS 5800, but I was getting speed hungry for some reason. I'm gonna have to buy another truck now to put that system in. I can't let it just set and not be used.

How worth it are the Novak brushless systems?? I know they are near $250, but that's alot of money for me and I'm savin' for a bronco at the same time.

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
I've got the SS5800 and after about 4 months, it runs just as fast as day one. I haven't had to take the motor out once. To me, that is worth the $200 price tag.
f150dan--- I'm not sure where else you could host the video[sm=confused.gif]. I've been using putfile too

I spent a long while today cleaning my pede. All this dried mud and stuff was building up lol. Had to use a screwdiver to chip it all off.
