If it's larger then a 540 engine i would wager it doesn't fit however with tools and a little time anything can be fit in anywhere... However I haven't tried this...

Hey all - had my e10 for a couple of weeks now (got the nissan R35 model )- am a bit of a noob i s'pose
anyway, just wondering about the turning circle on my e10, which seems to be getting worse and bigger. The turning harness seems to be loose and both wheels dont seem to be in allingment when the turning is on full lock. Is this normal?
also wondering if anyone could recommend a cheap Motor/ESCcombo for the E10?
thanks!

no, sounds not right, run a screw driver over all the screws on the steering to make shure thay are tight.
in normal opperation the paralel steer will change during turning
thats your budget for a motor & esc?

Screws are as 'tight' as they can go... it seems like it may be the wheels, which aren't connected properly to each other; you can turn them a slight bit (bout half a cm) with your hand before the other wheel will turn (kinda loose like drewpyfz6 was saying...) maybe its the bearings I have put in them?
dunno
um... for the Motor, was thinking around $20-30 AUD (nice to see another Australian on here lol!) something like the HPI 1146 Firebolt 15T (nothing too special)

ok, i had the same problem, u need to find out where it is looseness is, is its that the tie rod retaining screws to small, causing the tie rod to have movement on the joint to the hub or steering arm? is there movement in the joints on the rod that connects the steering arms? or is the steering "swing" arms twisting? if so u can get purple alloy ones like mine in this pic, it also uses ball bearings & a carbon fiber arm conecting rod

Ok will think about the atomic steering kit, thanks for that suggestion
wondering what the best motor to upgrade to using just the stock ESC? maybe this:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-21T-hop-u...d=p3286.c0.m14
would that work/be a worthy upgrade do you reckon?

I just bought a 9t Ezrun brushless kit from hongkong for 55 euro including shipping... pretty sweet deal... Now i just need one of those aluminium motor mounts since it's killing my gear mesh with the POWER:P

Nice, I bought the 21t above with a heatsink... got nothing on your motor though lol
wish there was an easier fix for the steering looseness other than the atomic steering kit... it seems like the screws have worn the joints away on the steering arm, wondering if I could fill them in with something to remove this gap?

RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread
Hi guys, worked out the solution to the steering problem I was having before... it wasn't the steering arm looseness as I suspected, apparently this is somewhat normal. The answer was simply turning the D/R knob that limits the steering on the remote to the right... told you I was a noob

Well I've had my e10 for a couple of weeks I'm very satisfied with it, so far I've upgraded to a larger battery and em in the process of modding the drive train I've ordered a ezrun 80 amp brushless esc but for the motor I might go castle not sure my first build so don't wanna spend a grand on it....lol Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Will post pics soon.
Thanks Monty

I doubt the frame will hold up mine stripped both its pinion and spur with a 4300 on a 6 cell... but maybe with the alu motor mount... my guess is that it wont work...

RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread
I am having a steering issue on my E10 that I can't figure out. I have had my E10 for about a year and the car always tracks very straight. The other day I was driving it and realized that the car pulls very strong to the right, and will not go straight. I took the entire front suspension and steering linkage apart looking for any bent, cracked, or broken parts. I could not find anything. The steering trim is set to the maximum left to try and counteract the pull to the right. The front wheels are clearly pointing to the right when the car and controller are turned on. The car is a stock RTR with only an aluminum driveshaft added. Anyone have any ideas were the issue is? It acts like the servo is no longer centered. If that is the case, how do I go about centering it? I am very new to RC.
Checked:
Steering linkage
Steering shoulder bolts
Steering screws
Front Control arms
Front bulkhead
Chassis Tub
Steering Trim
No recent crashes or impacts to cause damage
