Yes, because since you're the only one to brag about them, you must be the only one doing anything with it...great logic
Wasn't there an NDA involved?

Again -please show me an instance of me bragging?
We were asked not to post screenshots of any beta aircraft. Then awhile ago they began encouraging us to post screens (which was when nemo uk and I started doing it). I haven't seen anything from the 13 other beta testers myself so I am just as curious as the rest of you as to what they've been up to. They will probably be posting up the screenshots here anytime now.

But I too side with KE on this one. Releasing software full of bugs is not something that whould be done, quality over quantity. Luckily I have only been waiting since December 25th. I can't imagine what it has been liek for guys who have had this thing since the start.

Please try yo keep the disscusions down to a minimum (or make another thread). This thread is for the G3 beta testers to post screenscaps of the new aircraft we'll be gettting soon. It would be a shame for someone to have to scroll down much further just to see all the pics.

Rick, I hate to say that I doubt you will get anymore names on that list as the other 14 are Vaporware in my opinion.

Though I haven't been informed by KnifeEdge that I am no longer part of the "beta team" I am assuming that my being BANNED from their forums also includes being kicked off the "beta team", so I guess that officially leaves 14 others.
Screenshots should start showing up any minute now[:@]

Yeah those are the same tutorials that I spent a considerable amount of time trying to learn Meta w/last year. I did make some progress and was able to create the plane in the tutorial, but thats as far as I got. My biggest problem w/Meta is the user interface is so much different than 3DSmax, its like switching from Windows to Linux. We also explored ways to convert the models I create in Max to an .x format that could then be imported into Meta and then exported to the correct format for AFPD. All the methods I tried ended up causing the mesh to get destroyed or basically unusable..
But seriously what models are their even left to make for AFPD?? G3 has like 40-50 models w/all the add-ons and AFPD has what like a 1000 (maybe more)?? AFPD also has quite a few very talented guys creating new stuff (rodeo and lego to name a couple) so its not like I could make much of an impact. I don't have Reflex so thats a dead issue

Hey rick
Firstly, sorry for the argument, though i think we both feel differently about things, we should just agree to dissagree. No need cluttering up the forum over stuipid stuff, eh?
Secondly, i dont doubt that there are 15 beta testers, when i was involved in game development, only about 15-20 % of outside beta testers contributed anything, everyone else just wanted something free to play with. I wouldnt doubt that there are more like 4 or 5 active testers...
Lastly, i know exactly what you mean about max vs. metasequoia...or max vs. anything else. Ive tried to learn lightwave, blender, maya, c4d...i still always come back to max...its like my "comfort zone", it just feels right. "Modo" by luxology is kinda nice though...its a new peice of software comming into the market, at a much more reasonable price, sans rendering though (new version will have it, plust support for mental ray)...you should check it out if you like max, and follow the Camera Tutorial on their page, its a good intro to it...

Hi Rick,
there is no need to learn Metasequoia. There is an Metasequoia (MQO) import/export plugin for 3DSmax that works very well!
Look [link=http://www.maxplugins.de/max7.php?search=mqo]here[/link].
Cheers,

Yes I also believe that 15 people signed up for the beta test, but I also believe that thats all they did. Over at the KE private beta forum their was hardly any activity at all the last couple of months and the majority of that was nemo uk and myself.
I use Max cause thats what we all use at my office and I get it for free. I will look at "Modo" thanks!

Rick,
if you are interested, we will support you in any stage of model creation.
And regarding the amount of models already available:
I see a lack of typical rc-models from the U.S. market as well as a lack of helicopters.
So I guess there is enough work left for you
