Falcon, if the computer is not hooked up to the net, how did you get the latest drivers? Horizon wants to connect to your computer directly and fix the problem so you don't have to do this on your own.
It sounds like you are putting up road blocks to have people help you fix it.
I doubt very much that anyone here is going to have a miracle fix for you.

Falcon,
Downloading drivers to a cd will work if you know what version of the drivers you need. The video drivers are specific to the video card and not specific to the cpu. If you do not have a Video card that meets FSOne's specifications that that will be a reason it will never work.
So, maybe the first step is does your hardware meet the minimum requirements set forth by FSOne? This is critical. Go to the Horizon Web Site and see what the requirements are, or just check the box.
Get one of the free antivirus programs and connect to the internet. Get the Drivers you need and let FSOne help you.
As I see it, there is not magic fix for you. The problems you are having are either inadequate hardware, or drivers that are too old.
You also need to connect to the internet to get the updates for FSOne.

Falcon, I just reviewed your earlier post, you seem to have adequate hardware. so this is a driver thing. I'm guessing you aren't downloading the correct or newest drivers.
I still think you need to connect to the internet and let Horizon help you.

Preich,
While I'm quite sure that the patch updates cures the audio acceleration issue, here's how to reduce the audio acceleration.
Windows button>Control Panel>Sound and Audio Devices, in the window that opens, click on the Audio Tab across the top, then on the Advanced button in the Sound Playback section. This brings up the Advanced Audio Properties window, Click on the Performance Tab and move the slider to the left to lower Audio Playback, hardware acceleration.

For some reason when I create a new controller.. it does not show up in any list... which is frustrating because everytime I want to switch controller settings I have to re-program it every time.. does anyone know how to fix this so the user created transmitters show up in a list somewhere?!?!
Thanks...
Thanks...

trixer,
So you've navigated to the right side of the screen, clicked on the down arrow, and selected user trasmitters and your radio doesn't show? Are you sure you have the helicopter or airplane section correct?
Your radio should be there.

When a new user transmitter is created, it is added to the "FS One" category. This is true for both fixed wing and helis. So, you should see your newly created user transmitter at the end of the FS One category for fixed wing aircraft, if you created a copy of a fixed wing radio.
There currently is a "User Transmitters" category for helis, so when a new user transmitter is created, it is also added to that list if it is a heli radio. However, there currently is no "User Transmitters" category for fixed wing aircraft. We will try to get a fix for this in the next patch (basically, we'll add the "User Transmitters" category for fixed wing).
In the meantime, you should see your new user transmitters at the end of the "FS One" category, for both helis and fixed wing.
One more thing -- if you typically use your own "user transmitter", you can go to the Options Menu, then choose the General selection on the left side. From within the General area, unclick the "Auto-Load Radio/Controller" option. This will prevent an auto-selection of a radio as you select an aircraft. As a result, if you select a user transmitter, it will not be unselected as you select a new aircraft. You may find that this is helpful when using your own transmitter (or a customized radio setup).

Brian: That is what I have been trying to say.. my radio's do not go to the fs one list.. they are not anywhere.. I have spent a good hour looking for them, even looking for file locations. Nothing, they are gone. BUT, when I create new copies, if I use a name I have already used, it says I am overwriting a file. So.... they are going somewhere.. just not into the list.

If that doesn't work, we can try solving it via the forum. At this time, I cannot reproduce the problem you are having on my test machines.
Let me know if you need help after telephone support.

Okay, after phone support was no help, I started looking for the files myself, and found them finally. I am running windows vista, and for some reason it is saving the files to desktop->mike->appdata->local->virtualstore->program files->fs one->controllers instead of c:->program files->fs one->controllers
Its like vista is creating a different spot for the files to go or something, only I can't figure out how to turn it off.. any help?

Okay... figured it out finally. for some reason vista was not running it as administrator... so I all I had to do was right click fs one and click "run as administrator" and it works like a charm now... finally I don't have to keep redoing radio setups..

Wow, That's amazing. I think that is a good tip to add to Inertiasoft's FAQ. As FSOne runs on more Vista machines in the future this is bound to come up again and again.
Is it the mysterious Microsoft, or FSOne to blame for this mis-setting?

Well it looks like the T-Rex problem is solved. I think in the current patch, I have spent dozens of hours on FS One but mostly on airplanes as that is where my passion is going right now and that's what I'm flying. I've found a couple interesting changes and not sure if this is just me or if others have experienced this as well:
1) F-27 Stryker had a great reduction in power and its flight characteristics are very different now. It can no longer do axial rolls but acts much more like a conventional plane with wings that will give it proportionally more lift at higher speeds and require down elevator to compensate (please do educate me on the aerodynamic term for this). The way I see the Stryker crew fly at my field, this thing really goes where you point it and doesn't do this ... I don't know much about the physics of it but this seems like inaccurate behavior for a delta wing aircraft, no?
2) AT-6 Texan, Mentor, Corsair etc... (except for P-51 PTS), all seem to have some lag/stickiness in left aileron. When I give full left aileron, it sticks sometimes for up to a full second afterwards which is really odd. I have tested this both with the TacCon and my DX7. Anyone else see this? This never used to happen before the current patch.
3) General observation: Now that I've had hundreds of RL landings under my belt on my P-47 and my SC, I find that the FS One simulation of the aircraft as it approaches the ground very difficult to assess the touchdown point. I've tried different POV's as suggested and none of them help. I do understand that in RL I have the aid of stereoscopic vision to aid in judging the aircraft's altitude from the ground as it approaches me on the runway, but in the sim, I am having a really hard time getting accurate judging it. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Inertiasoft has a great FAQ on this, go here:

Find your radio and follow the directions.
