Ok It's not a riddle but I found It quite funny.
A man camped in a national park, and noticed Mr. Snake and Mrs. Snake slithering by. "Where are all the little snakes?" he asked.
Mr. Snake replied, "We are adders, so we cannot multiply."
The following year, the man returned to the same camping spot.
This time there were a whole batch of little snakes.
"I thought you said you could not multiply," he said to Mr. Snake. "Well, the park ranger came by and built a log table, so now we can multiply by adding!"
Paul.

I never am, but always will be, I carry nothing, but may hold much for some people. What am I?

tomorrow is correct. Here's a riddle some of you might get, if you know the reference.
"what do I have in my pocket?"

....o..o.o

ignore the periods. they're there to fill up space otherwise the system messes up the alignment.

$0.025 + ($0.025+$1.00) = $1.05
.05 dive by 2, u get 0.025 ( 0.025+0.025=0.05 ) 0.05 + 1.00 = 1.05
The answer is 2.5 cents "A" cork.
To dumb it down, "If a bottle and a cork cost $1.05" bottle is $1 right? "What would be the cost of the cork?" 0.025, They never said how many corks. They said "If a bottle and a cork cost $1.05 and the bottle cost $1.00 more than the cork, What would be the cost of the cork" 2.5cents "A" Cork!
He said 0.25 wen it should of read 2.5C

okay, its just algebra
let the cost of the cork be x
so the cork costs x
the bottle costs x+$1.00 (a dollar more than the cork)
the total cost is $1.05
so: cork + bottle = total cost
or: (x) + (x+$1.00) = $1.05
--> x + x + $1.00 = $1.05
--> 2x + $1.00 = $1.05
--> 2x = $0.05
--> x = $0.025
or 2.5 cents
I have no idea why pythonfan emphasizes "'A' cork", and that it was never specified how many corks there are. It was specified; there is one cork.

you have to think of it backwards: the bottle costs a dollar and 2.5 cents beacuse half of five is 2.5 and the bootle costed $1.00 more than the cork. I know it gets confusing.
I have another one:
How can a person with one eye see more than a person with two?

An indian taxi driver was being asked questions by a prospective employer to see if he knew english well enough to communicate with passengers.
He asks him: "If I cut out your tongue, what will happen?"
the indian answers "Then I cannot speak."
He asks a "If I gouge out your eyes, what will happen?" he answers: "then I cannot see."
Finally, the employer asks: "And if I cut off your ears, what will happen?"
The indian then answers: "Then I cannot see, or at least have a little trouble in doing so..."
What was his logic?

if a cork is .025c then you would have to have two corks. to find the total of one cork you would have to minus 1.00$ from 1.05$ aand you would get 5c a cork. why in the world would you divide it by two.

Beacuse the bottle cost $1.00 more than the cork. The cork cant cost 5 cents beacuse the bottle would now cost less than a dollar. the bottle is $1.00 more than the cork beacuse 2.5-2.5=0

It doesn't say the bottle is $1.00, but that it is $1.00 MORE than the cork. So it has to inlcude the price of the cork to determine the price of a cork alone. If the cork was 5 cents, that is saying the bottle is a dollar more ($1.05) totalling to $1.10. But if the cork is .025 cents, then .025 plus a dollar more than the cork ($1.025) totals to $1.05. Any better?
