Does anyone know if the Behotec C40 electric gear with its struts will fit the UF? Would there be significant modification to be done to the retract rails? I understand the C36 electric sets are a better fit but have thinner struts. I have the opportunity to purchase a C40 all electric set with a direct drive steering servo.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

Mike,
The c36 struts are not thin! They are the same as the air ones. You will rip the wing to bits before you bend a strut let alone break one.

Bihotec Germany is recommending C40s with direct servo steering. So I'm very confused.

Answered PM. Don't think they will fit. The C-36 are more than up to the job. My Classic flash had 300+ flights from grass and are still going strong!

Hi Dave,

From your experience how many minutes could one expect running a 140rx on 100 oz's of fuel.

Thanks,

Stan

Depends on throttle use, people are on the throttle way longer than needed and the turbine uses a lot of fuel wide open.
I guess 100oz would give 6 1/2 minutes mixed flying

Paul

Yep, pretty good. customer collected and he's very happy. P-90Rxi going in this one

Thanks,

Its the turbine of choice for the majority of UK modellers. Std UF tank set up is over 100oz though!

I'm using the standard tank setup, main and wing tank, with a 180 throttled back to 120.000rpm. Mixed flying, timer at 7 minutes and still 1/4Gallon to go.

A buddy's & my Ultra Flash at the Big Apple Jet Ralley today. I modified my bypass with cheater holes for my K-180G, & also added drop tanks with blue lights in front & red in back. Still need to vacuum form some aerodynamic clear covers for the fronts. I'm convinced this planes flight characteristics can not be surpassed! They truly cut through the air like a knife.

Nice pics BlueBus320.

My UF flies great with a 100 in it. 180 must be insane
Would love to see it in action.

Paul.

800 ma after three flights? That has got to be the most efficient system in that thrust class unless each flight was very short.

OK . Even my p60 in a Reaction never saw less than 400+ma per six minute flight.

That's old school turbine with pulsing cooling, Ni pack? external Kero burner?? etc. the Bus RX type turbines and Li-Fe cells are way lower on current draw.
I always run my turbines manually to their coolest rpm before shutting down, cutting off at idle will take way longer to cool...plus we are 25 degrees on a hot day!

I usually run two life's I had the 3200 packs but sold another plane with those packs.

What at you guys using for turbine packs? I'm looking for something slim that can fit I'm the battery tray. My duralite a123 9.9volt no longer fits now that I put Velcro on each side of the battery tray.
