White ducting has nothing to do with it. If anything the turbine will need to be moved rearward. It is the clearance in the bypass i am questioning. The inlet to bypass connection is what it is.
How far is the tail cone supposed to be from the pipe???

Does anyone notice when you bolt the wing on,that the wing sits up a little at the back. Mine seems to lay on the bypass and sits about 10 mm above untill you tighten the wing down. I don't have the engine in yet but I assembled the bypass and inlet ducting ,and noticed this when I bolted the wing on. Seems like it would be ok, just want to be sure. Thanks ,jack.

22-25mm from back of tail cone to start of pipe.
CARF Had a through the board price increase after a long period with fixed prices.

Doug,
i tucked a 170 in my classic, fully bypassed w/ fod screen and while there is minimal space around the turbine it runs great, no overheating problems. at top speed it does cause the bypass to make a sound (a deep roar) but no problems from it.

I see CARF just put the price up on these by $400! It's now more than the Hawk. Guess the price on the Hawk will be going up as well

Successful test flight tonight...Jet Central Super Eagle...JR 9 ch Power Safe/12X radio. Electron retracts with Dreamworks Prolink struts. Perfect flight. ZERO aileron trim and just a little pitch trim. Balanced at back of range with no extra weight. Timer set for 6 min and landed with saddles 1/2 full. Feed sequence is main to saddles then to UAT. Flies like its on rails...I love it!

Main to saddle to UAT????? Everyone I know does saddles to main to UAT. Might leave you a tail heavy draining the main first,,,no??
Tight squeeze with a super eagle??? How much clearance do you have around the front of the motor for bypass airflow?

I run a 170 as well, fully bypassed and with FOD . No problems at all ... You can also cut a few round holes in the bypass cover both forward of the intake and slightly behind the lip of the FOD screen. This will not induce any drag ( suction over here ) and will allow more air into the system providing more thrust, as well as cooling the surrounding area by drawing in surrounding hot air from the fuse cavity ..

Hello, I am building the wing on my UF - but are having trouble setting up the flap servos. The problem is that the linkage hits the spar (i.e. the cutout in the spar is to small to compensate for the arc when the servo is working). Can I just make the hole bigger - or will this weaken the wing. Has anybode else experienced this - and what was the fix?
Thanks for any help:-)

Hi,
I was thinking of using an AMT 280 Pegusas in my UF for the time being. The bypass however does not really fit the engine...Do you guys think its a big deal to not run it? From what I understand, half of the people run a bypass and the other half do not. Im thinking with the thrust of the engine(28-30lbs), it should not be an issue. Should I run the inlet joiner with no bypass or not?
Thanks for your time...
