hydraulic oil is a light mineral oil and has a very low boiling point, it wouldn't be optimal as a lube in our turbines.
plenty of alternatives out there that are readily accessible and economically priced.

its a lubricating oil, used in hydraulics but mostly in vacuum pumps/compressor motors for lubrication.
for a JetCat, JetCat recommends Aeroshell 500 turbine oil, but any milspec 23699 (synthetic) turbine oil is acceptable, YMMV.

Locally for your area? No.
You can buy oil recommended for turbines here...http://dreamworksrc.com/catalog/turbine-oil-c-150.html
Don't risk your engine's health, performance and your warranty by feeding your engine oil not recommended by the manufacturer.... That's my take on turbine oil, YMMV.

Thanks guys for the info. I talked to Barry and will buy some from him. According the one manufacturer of the AW-32, it is the same as DTE 24. But I think I will stick with real turbine oil.
There is a small airport locally that has 4 private jets. I am going to go talk to them and see if they will sell me some oil in the short term until Barry gets his supply.

Whether or not these oilswill workmightbe determined by some testing (assuming someone has a motor they don't mind experimenting with) but seeing that you have a new motor are you perhaps voiding the warranty by using a different oil than what is recommended byeverymanufacturer? Ifyou do experienceany issue with your motor and it becomes known that you were using a totallydifferent typeoil in the thing, I have a feeling you may have an issue getting your repair covered even if you keepup withthe required maintenance schedule with Kingtech.
