I think the cnc mashing should costs less than hand made products and the 3d powder printing will be available to all in the near future from computer store just like regular laser printer with sample 3d programs to all ,and for the reason I'm out for now I will use the ugly hand made cockpits and pilots for less. Wojtek you stuff is super nice and 100% scale but som of them should cost less ,I just powder 3d printed the full 1:4 scale cockpit using the BB f-16 for pictures and blow to the 1:4 scale using 0.8mm thickness print we use only 3.8 quick " of powder material for the totall cockpit super lighte and the totall think cost me $200 with the 3D printed pilot .
If we did use powder material it WOULD cost less... Powder material is gritty and not suited for fine detail on the level we produce. Most of our prints are in UV cured 3d SLS/sla printed resins. Also, we don't sell at cost of material. There is work involved actually making the models, making them so they can be printed, investing in inventory, materials, etc , etc .. Many items after time is added up wont even break minimum wage for any profit made, lol . To those that know how to make 3d models, and have ways of printing, that's awesome. I think the modeling community needs more people like this to embrace new technologies and methods. For those that do not have time time, or circumstances to make their own, or maybe that's not where their abilities are, there is a whole range of products from different manufacturers they can use. Usually, you get what you pay for... some people don't find value in some things and other do .. Now the guy that started the thread asked for stuff for his euro, therefore my posts. If you would like to offer him your home made cockpit, then go ahead and do so also and and let him know what you want for it Ultimately , each modeler/consumer chooses what they find value in
all best,

Yes you 100 % correct the 3d printing is pores and looks just ok ,and I don't try to sale the cockpits ,the developing cost tons of time and $ ,in other hand the 3d printing getting much better now the able to do glass like clear material mix with metal totally simless and with glossy finish the using 6-10 different powder materials not just one powder and color activator ,the technology go in super speed ,so the will be engines and other mechanical thinks with no screws and multiple parts and gaskets ,just picture super light engine with transmission with no screws all in one super light 350 h power motorcycle engine with frame all from super 3D printer ,or other thinks we using now just picture metal industry with no lathe and Cnc mashies . I'm not mention the army and other thinks like NASA .

now going back to the nylon powder printing .. yes, you can smooth it . It can actually be done in acetone vapor., but this is not good for anything with detail. If someone wants yet another Yoda print out, or a better gnome statuette, then this works, lol but not for scale items with details in them.
Here's some details how they come out in high res resins .. i think this would be a better discussion for a 3d printing thread otherwise however

The speed break isn't that hard to install. Todd Witkoff did a nice build addendum document that includes instructions on how to do it. It definitely adds "cool factor"
You can find the document here:

While Todd's info on installing the airbrake is second to none, it's still a PITA to do and make it work right. I recently modified mine a little from Todd's instructions and made mine to be removable instead of fixed and also tightened up the gaps around the pivot points.

Just in case there is any interest for anyone happening upon this thread, this is how I went about installing the airbrake to make it removable. The pivot block is an old JMP F-4 stab pivot that I had lying around. Four bolts in the pivot and two for the air cylinder pivot and the whole thing comes out.

Love that scheme. I just picked up an ancient Euro that needed some work. I did notice the nose gear did not have rubber bands to pull the cables but it's been flown that way for years (apparently). Is the gear fouling a recurring issue?

Hi Guys,
Just starting to get some bits and pieces ready. Does anyone know if these tanks http://www.jettechusa.com/collection...-fuel-tank-set will fit with the intairco inlet ducting?
Thanks
Jeremy
