Yes it looks amazing with the under wing tanks. have ordered a set for mine as well. The under wing tanks really gives this aircraft a very nice look.

Below is another pic of Nev's PC from this weekends flying and two pics of mine taken at the Robertson 2017 fly in.

Congrats Nev on a lovely finished PC and may you have plenty happy hours with it.

The tanks finish it up nicely, and very little trim change. Glad I put them on, Clinton has some nice flying shots, maybe he puts them up here.

Nice one guys, great turbo props to fly. My own Tucano is a keeper and I think you will stay married to your PC--21's for a long time.

Cheers,

HI Guys ,

Just curious .. The " Sebart Ulitmate Air Trap " that SM sells , I just got one with my PC-21 but i can't get information about it ... Has anyone installed and run it ? Its a 2 piece unit that i wasn't expecting .... I can assemble to fittings etc normally .. however there appears to be no seal between the 2 halves... Is there meant to be a seal and im missing it ... Or do the 2 Halves get glued together ???? ( Can't find any info online or any manual for it ... not even on the Sebart Webpage ( they dont sell it ! )

There is no seal, just glue it. I was glued by epoxy glue for plastick from car repare parts shop.

Default Light covers

I am currently building this kit with the uni lights, does this kit come with light covers or do you have to make them.
Cheers.

Anyone have any prop updates for Kingtech K-100TP? Chief Aircraft/Skymaster USA now wants $430 for their 5-blade prop.... Looking for a high pitch prop. Kingtech recommends 26x22 4-blade but I can't find that anywhere at least not off the shelf. Just trying to avoid having a custom prop made and hoping to get something for a reasonable price.

I run a 30,5" 3-blade Varioprop on my K-100TP. Set at 19" pitch it does about 4.500 rpm on the ground.
In theory a 5-blade 26,8" prop should put about the same load on the engine as a 30,5" 3-blade, so I would recommend taking a look at the Varioprop offerings.

A 5-blade hub with 25,8" blades should put you back about 186,50€ (214,-$) plus shipping/taxes and such, and the adjustable pitch allows you to fine tune the setup.

I'm using a jetcentral turbo prop which recommends a 3 bladed prop. Can any one tell me the recommmeded spinner and back plate size. I have a 5inch ultimate but seems small? Any suggestions??

I am using an ultimate style spinner with a 5 1/2 inch backplate which seems to be a perfect fit. I ordered spinners for a 24x22 and 24x24 three-blade props and 24x24 five blade props from Dave Brown Model Products (cost approximately $98 usd plus $11 shipping).

Thanks Dave and spinner is 5 1/2 I assume. Have you used a three blade spinner? Better or worse performance with a five blade?

The spinner backplate is 5 1/2" in diameter, and it is roughly 7-7.5" tall.

I used the 3 blade spinner with the props mentioned earlier with the Kingtech K-60 tp, and performance was very good. Never used the five-blade prop with the KT-60 tp. Currently running the Kingtech 100 tp with a five-blade spinner and 24x24 five-blade propeller. Vertical and level flight performances with this combination are very good.

Hi All ,

Lets talk Gear doors .

It seems to be common practice to leave them off , Or in my case .. have them come off the 4 times ive put them on ..

Looking at installing an air ram in the wing pay to engage as a "canaopy lock " however open to suggestions if anyone has had more success . I have tried the Magnet concept and although it worked to a degree. high speed full throttle passes them come off... ( K100 )

Looking forward to fixing this as a PC-21 on the ground with no gear doors just doesn't look right lol please see before and after pictures.. a usual story for a flight

Cheers in advance .

Michael
