There is a kit in the UK, but not built yet, it’s around the CARF size

I was considering it myself. There are several videos on YouTube, performing 3D. However, i looked at the manual (available at Pilot website), i didn't like the fuel and smoke tanks.

Will be happy to get first hand impression for this and also if there are any scale details (like lines, rivets, etc.).

There is some detail pictures on the pilot website, it has plenty of panel lines but no rivets.

Default Maiden and thoughts

A vid from this past weekend.

What a fun plane to fly.

Used stock equipment. 4L tank , 250ml stock UAT. All high flow 4mm ID fittings and stock 4mm ID tubing. Easy build - took 2 days. Stock turnbuckles, ball linkages. Stock servo extensions. Stock electric gear and brakes.

K210
12.5KG dry with full UAT
Bluebird H51B

Yep
No issues. I am really liking the overall quality of these PilotRC kits. After having the PilotRC Viperjet 3M for over 1 year and having over 130 flights on it - the J10 purchase was a no brainer. Always wanted a J10 as IMHO it is possibly the best 3D jet out there....
The carbon laminated formers are strong, glue joints are nice - no missed spots. The stock JP retracts are perfect. The controller worked everytime. My 2nd landing was a rather hard pancake - but the airframe took it well. No damage...

I have just added a smoke system with the stock 1.5L tank. Changed location of pump, UAT and removed 500g of lead from the nose. (factory CG is always too safe/too nose heavy)

Really liking the J10. 100ft (STOL) takeoff and landings now...
Over 80 flights now...
I removed the grease that came in the stock JP retracts to allow the LG to have better stock absorbing capabilities.

Awesome! This will need to be my next plane. I think it will fit in my Subaru and if not the nose comes off with 5 bolts!

Thanks for the vid. What smoke pump are you using and can you share some install pics when you get a chance? No rush.

The front is held by 5X M4 screws - easy to take off. I am using the PilotRC Smoke pump ( https://pilot-rc.com/smoke-pump/ ) with Dual option (pulse or throttle mixed). I have 11 of these pumps - love them. (From 210N ton this J10 to 400N on my 4M Leo)

Where do you get those smoke pumps? The link has no price and a google search doesn't show anyplace available.

I did the same on my J10, with the stock grease was too stiff, is a 10 min job. I also replaced the nose spring to a softer one. It was the only mod needed, it is a great plane!

I will probably want some more detailed info on this mod when the time comes, if you could share it then.

IŽll post a picture of the spring. Is not really needed but my field is a bit bumpy and now all the bumps are perfectly absorbed. Try to mount all the equipmet as forward as possible or you will need to add nose weight. I donŽt have lead in the nose and my CG is a bit nose heavy with 3x 5000mAh batteries. Weight with 210N turbine, uat full + smoke system is around 12,5kg (27.7lb)
