Ram 750F ECU

Where can I get a Ram 750F ECU repaired? Is Bob Price still around? For some reason the ECU looses the information that it stores when I do the Setup to the transmitter ad the turbine sputters and I get some smoke ( Like too much fuel) from the exhaust. When I set the ECU up for the tx again the problem went away until I shut the ecu off then it lost the settings and on the next start it went back to sputtering again on throttle up. On one start it started Ramping and then said throttle low and shut down. What do you people think? Does the ecu store the data in non volitale ram? or is there a small watch battery in the ecu used to keep the settings?
Thanks!

Gene,
Someone else might chime in hear, but your might also try Andy at Electrodynamics - http://www.electrodynam.com - I know he does repair on the Ram start box and he might also be able to fix the ECU. I know Bob designed the ECU, but I think I was told at sometime that Ram had Andy building them.

If your engine is sputters when throttling up. That sounds like some of your burner injector is cloged up. The ECU use volitale ram. Not backup batterys.
I have four of the 750f airstart ECU from Electrodynamics. But i don,t think its your ECU. Your setting can be off. When teaching the ECU Hight throttle 1900 to 2010 then the light stop blinking same with low throttle 1200 to 1150 then throttle cut. The ECU won't save your setting if this is not done properly

Hi Bob is still around and working on the ECUs. If you send it to Carlos he will just send it to Bob. His email address is [email protected] and his phone # is512-259-9232. I just had him update my A01l software to the CO2C version and it works exquisitly. Scott

I have the older ECU. I will contact Andy or RTI. I think that the problem is the ECU because when I set it up again to the TX the then engine ran fine but when i turned it off and tried to start it later it was acting up again. Also I have seen the display read LOW THROTTLE while ramping up but it still ran.
Thanks

Andy Lowe designed the 750 ECU and does repair them. He also designed the start box and fixes them also. Mine went belly up and he reapaired it for a reasonable cost, and now it works.

Andy designed and built the older, larger ECU for the air start 750's and I designed, built all of the newer ,smaller auto-start Ecu's. I also repair and upgrade my ECU's. Bob Price. [email protected].
