I received the plans. They look great, 3 huge sheets & article re-print.

The article re-print out does NOT include any build pictures.
These would be very useful.
Back issues of the original magazine issues are no longer available.

If anyone of you guys has the original RCM Magazines (Part 1 is in December 2004 and Part 2 is in January 2005) with the pictures and digital camera/scanner, please PM me.

Thanks.

I am in for the build pictures as well, RCM is no longer able to sell them [sm=thumbs_down.gif], so it's now perfectly legal to share them

[:@] dunno about that, I wouldn't want to upset RCM.

Good things come to those who wait.....................

The second magazine has 17 B/W build pics that look usefull. I could scan, take dig pics, or copy machine the pics but I do not have broadband.
An SASE for the copied pages might be easier.

I just finished mine, built it from plans, it was an easy build once all of the parts are cut out which DID take some time. I will be flying it soon. It weighs 13 lbs with retracts, flaps and rudder servos ( the original didn't have operating rudders as in the EU they are not needed!) The designer now has an upgraded model with a longer fuse, thrust vectoring, canards and a smoke system he is looking for another magazine to publish all of this in.

geh3, good work ! How much did it take you to build it btw ? And which engine do you plan to use ? Also, do you have any picture / link of the latest design with canards ? It must look very good [sm=thumbup.gif] with improved pitch response
I know some french mags that would be interested. PM me if necessary.

HAH I tried to match the original canopy configuration on the RCM plans and I couldn't get the requisite canopy from IRON BAY MODEL CO since their response to ordering older BYRON stuff is awful and the other canopy was not obtainable from europe SO what you see there is a 90+% duplicate of the original plans. To get the latest update on the newer version I suggest you contact the designer, Prof Giancarlo Genta at: [email protected]

Hi geh3,

Are the canards fixed, T.E. moving or all moving surfaces ? I can't tell from the picture.
I got the plans for the standard verion, but I like this one better [8D]

Thanks.

yes this is the latest version HOWEVER you can build the current version with the extended nose+ canards+ thrust vectoring which also has removable wings and then ADD the swept forward wing panels later. The only thing you will have to watch out for may be a slight change in CG.. Consult Giancarlo Genta for the details.. quite a good designer I think!
