Looks as though I will have to in future put everything down in the most intricate detail.
This modeller has operated, used, maintained, repaired, worked on and flown various turbines for over 8 years. I think he would then have some idea on what may or may not be suspect.

As I have an BabyJoe, I would like to get some clarifiation to the following.
What is the difference of JJ-1200, JJ-1200 MKII and JJ-1400?
These are all the "types", that I have seen mentioned in different forums.
Does JetJoe use different serial numbering for the "types"??
Mine is #620 and seems to run great for the time being. The thing is, that I do not know whis of the above types it actually is, as when it was delivered from China, it was only mentioned BabtJoe.

Lets concentrate on original threat. Is Jetjoe closing down? Can not tell cause i just received another batch. But i have been in contact with Jeff in China and i will be visiting factory in China this month. Unfortunately the whole of China is on holiday right now. Jetjoe also had problems with e-mail and no replies were made.
Since i am a dealer i also would like to clarify claims made. I owe that to my customers who bought motors from me. I will inspect materials to production to balancing.
I have build KJ66 from scratch and even further back to FD4 wooden compressor turbine. This was actually much more scary than any Jetjoe to date. I know about vacuum castings and inconel and x-ray testing. It will be a report to clarify to all concerned.
I have flown JJ1400 successfully. Only problem so far i could find is the accessories such as starter motor and pump and valves. The copy of festo is also not as good as the real festo.

Just send the bamboo wheels to me. I will x-ray them and provide digital images on CD ROM with an included image viewer that has window leveling and width. We can really discern the quality of the product this way.

For the last time, the decorative and friction reductive inlays on the turban wheels is NOT "cloisonne"(a copyrighted process from France) but infinitely superior authentic jadite. Hence the green sheen.
And they ARE ultrasonically checked, using a high frequency English Sellers and Wright dog whistle. Actually, a Chinese made copy of the English dog whistle from Ghoungzhou Special Whisle and Novelty Company in Xuiaxian.
And expect to receive a letter from the Mongol AntiDefamation League. Or perhaps not a letter, but a visit by a few fellows on horseback.

A guy at our club also bought a Jetjoe! It did not run!!!
Rpm sensor was defect right out of the box!! Glowplug was also defect.
Fuel lines where bent, and no fuel could pass!!
Bearings sounded strange.
No way he could run this engine, he is also a victim of mister P. from Germany who is on holiday for months now[:@]
My advise don't buy it! Spend a few bucks more and get an engine from a proper manufacturer!!!

To all that might have an interest in Jetjoe.
I have a Jetjoe JJ1400 installed and flying on a Boomerang perfect.
In fact, so good that I purchased two more Jetjoes for another
Boomerang and an Greatplanes F4. If you are new to turbines,
a Jetjoe might be to big of a step because you need knowledge
to correct some problems that arrises, like lines kinked, connectors
leaking, and glow plugs that blow. All these problems come with
other engines, but people over look them when it a name brand.
The engine itself is a great buy, as was Simjet when they first
came out. I am using the original Jetjoe pump on the new engine
with no problems, but I have only one flight so far. The other
Boomerang uses a Moores pump which works great every time.
The Jetjoe and Boomerang is a perfect match, and can be
outfitted for under $2400 if you have your Transmitter already.
Any 6 ch. computer radio will do, but more ch. are better to
decrease the "Y"'s you will need. I have had over 20 flights on the
first Jetjoe/Boomerang, which is with the Simi FADAC (manual start).
Do not let others stop you from finding a low cost turbine, and enjoying
the thrill and excitment of Jets. Keep in mind that a Jetjoe is not in
the same league with Jetcat or AMT, but it will take you from point
A to B, every time and at a lower cost. If you can handle the speed,
an even better combo is the Jetjoe/Stingray and even lower price.

Well, except if he changed the glow plug, unkinked the fuel line, and changed (or properly installed) the RPM sensor.
Do you need to borrow a plug wrench?

This rumor was presented here as fact by Sandor, who also makes budget priced turbines, and had a previous business deal selling ECUs to Jetjoe that did not pan out. Funny, he was willing to take Jetjoe's money, if jetjoe was willing to give it! But he went with Espeill ECU's instead.

i hope they have seized. they have had a number of engines explode and i have seen one of these run and the vibration levels are out of this world. it may be cheap and a good idea for a cheap engine but unfortunatly from what i know it is not safe in the long run
