De
nsity altitude flying....layman's terms.....the higher you fly the easier for the engine to reach a certain rpm becomes, the down side being lower density/thrust. Also as our chamber mixture is fixed some engines can suffer from too lean a burn leading to a flameout situation. I believe this may have been the case with some engines at the WJM in South Africa.
From a manufacturing point of view and having to cater for the engines flying at higher altitude it is probably desirable to have a chamber set up with a slightly richer burn from a reliability point of view.
The full power figure for my Falcon in the Reaper at sea level 122k/22lbs/10kg/15C is 11.8oz/min.
Hope that's all clear enough and does not sound misleading

Thanks for your positive comments gents, it makes a refreshing change
It's also very encouraging to have received many supportive pm's and judging by the pre-orders received already I know the Flea is going to be popular.

Hi guys
Can you not sleep Rob? - I bet you are playing toy aeroplanes again till 3.30 am!
You should be ordering fleas for us all!
My Falcon is awesome - so quick it blew the cockpit canopy to bits on a fast pass followed by multiple vertical rolls on a Roo2
Rob - please book me an early import! ( When will we have a price?)
Hows abaout some info on the start up procedure and what equipment is required / supplied?

Woaahhh !!! [X(] hold your horses guys, you know there are lots of these little gems in the pipeline, you are among the first in the queue, there will be more than enough to go round.
No price as yet but as always Felipe has done his homework on this one so, as with the rest of the Jet Central range, expect it to be very attractive.
Airstart procedure is very straightforward using a portable off the shelf leaf blower. Easier than using a hand starter and no risk of comp wheel damage as some have found.

Righty, Ive just had a cold shower, shook myself off.... and read through all this lot again...
We know not what amount of fuel this Flea devours at full (take off) throttle ....
We dont know what comes with it...
We dont even know how much it costs...
But we are told people are ordering them....
This is like going to the local car showroom wher the salesman tels you what a fantastic car the "Flease Roadster" is .... He can only guess at the fuel consumption, he cant tell you what comes with it ...AND he doesent even know the price....But you order one anyway... Yes Right.
Oh bugger it !.... I'll have two.

Do you own a Jet Central product?
I guess not - if you did then you would not be concerned obout these things! The ones I own outclass many others (personal comment) and as such I would have no hessitation in advance ordering a FLEA.
The development has taken place over several years - its been flying for 6 months - with the backup and design resources available for this manufacturer it has to be a winner. Putting it in the market too early in the development cycle can do untold harm. Lets face it - they are testing the market and this will eventually help set the standards / price / performance characteristics. There is a lot of interest here from modellers not currently in the jet set.
This is not to knock other manufactureres - just stating the facts - each has a place in the marketplace and it is up to us to select.
I have had a good experience with the Artes range - so no waiting for me!
I own turbines from 4 manufacturers - ALL top quality items in their class - any turbine manufacturer who screws up by unrealistic claims or poor merchandise will lose ground very quickly.
Why not buy a Bee, FALCON or a RHINO and get a first hand experience - this may well give you the confidence to pre-order one too.

I think more like $2400.00. Smaller doesn't necessarily mean cheaper. The machining tolerances on the parts must be phenomenal to achieve these RPM numbers. Tighter tolerances means higher machining costs.
