Hi Zivo,

Give me a break. Does it snow in Israel? Need to see your bird in action!

My Fury is grounded due to snow storm near North Korea. Talking about cold! I can't imagine how our fathers going through in Korea war. I need to fire up the turbine so I can clean up my drive way. I miss our Southern California beaches.

I am expected my F-16s this week from Fly Eagle. Can't wait to break the snow with it.

Mike

Hi Mike, Zivo and i3dm, Mugenkidd and all of the other contibutors to this tread,

I have been wanting to get into jets for a while now and even have emailed several time to Mike D last year and met him at CA 2007 at Button Willo.

Ijust read through all 11 pages of posts on the tread for Fly Eagle Jets. Thanks to Mugenkidd for leading me to them. I have sent PM to Mugenkidd and Mike with additional inquiries about FED F-15 which I am very interested in.

Appreciate all of the info I picked up from everybody. Now all I have to do is go back and print it all out and get all of the F-15 info. But what the heck while I wait for my F-15 to arrive what else to do!!!

Where is Reut and Hadera in relations to Haifa? Zivo or i3dm if you are ever near the Technion, stop in and say shalom to my son. He is there studing for his master in industrial engineering. He should not be hard to find. He is the only American at the school this year.

Again, thank you all for all of the great info. It has been a wonderful learning experience.

Happy Landings,
Allen

Shalom Allen,

Actualy I work in Haifa and the Technion is at a glance from my window in my office... I can just howl to your son and he will hear me... If you need anything - just let me know and I will be happy to assist.

Today I got my elctronics for the jets - the Jetronics valves, 8711 servos, powerexpander.
Just the plane is missing...

Zivo

My F16 arrived yesterday and it is much better than expected. However, I noticed the vertical fin front carbon pin fits rather loosely when inserted into the fuse. I though it should be a tight fit to keep from lateral movements! I had an SM F16 and it was a much tighter fit.

David,

The front pin on the fin on mine also is also a loose fit. Additionally I'm not comfortable with just one small screw holding the fin in place. I'm planning on epoxying mine in place. I'll fill the front recess about half way up with epoxy plus put epoxy along the joint before tightening the screw down.

I just recieved my F-16 yesterday no problems with the shipping no damage any where.I'm glad I paid the extra money to have the gear door work done.Everything aligns and closes great and tight.Eagle Jets has been a pleasure to deal with.

Hi Guys,

I just got only 2 of their F-16 Tiger Meet with installed landing gear doors and L/G. One of them will go to USA for the first guy that signed up for the bundled order. The container is leaving the port tomorrow. I will keep one here in China and have my builder install it and will post the improvement and installation that we make along the way.

I have 2 engines P80 and P60. I prefer putting a P60 in there because the tanks look too small for a P80. do you think a P60 would be good enough to move this bird around?

P-60 is quiet a little gas hog, you'll notice minimal difference in overall flight duration between a P-60 and a P-80 with the throttle in the 'Fly' position. i don't particularly care for the spool time of the P-80.

My Tiger Meet looks more orange than yellow. I am not familiar with this color paint scheme. Is it a Dutch Tiger Meet or Belgian?

Would a P-60 with exhaust pipe installed good enough to move this bird? It seems a bit larger than my JL F-16.

Now I need more engines. My P80 is going into a T-45. I [] wish I did not sell my ARTES Falcon last year.

My Tiger Meet F-16 is definitely orange. All of the pictures of it on Fly Eagle's website look orange. Also if you look at Skymaster's website you will see that their version of it is also orange. After mine arrived I did an internet search and was suprised to find that the original Tiger Meet F-16 was yellow.

I like a plane that looks scale, but I'm not a purist. Actually I think the model not only looks better in orange but will show up better in the sky.

Joe,

That is what I like about you, always an optimist (Glass is half full rather than half empty).
I also think the orange looks better than yellow. Now that I have the Camo, I wished I had ordered the Tigermeet version. I do have to make a confession that the wife does not know about yet [sm=lol.gif] I have placed an early Birthday present order for the Rafale and should ship on the 20th. I will post some photos when I get it. I do not have an engine for it yet, but that may have to wait for a while.[sm=cry_smile.gif]

BTW, about the stab installation, looks like they have updated their installation photos and it shows to install a brass sleeving in to the fuse. I like that idea and will modify mine, now I got to find some metric brass sleeves.

Regrads,
Mike

I just looked at the Rafale page. It appears the model does not have gear doors or a "working" rudder.

R_Belluomini,

I am not sure about that, as far as I know, it has rudder and Gear door. They are installing Gear doors on mine. If you look closely at the tigermeet photo, you will see a line that appears to be a Rudder.

Regards,

Mike

In this photo it appears there is the rudder servo and linkage. [link=http://www.flyeaglejet.com/Rafale/rhb05.jpg]http://www.flyeaglejet.com/Rafale/rhb05.jpg[/link]

I see those but the new web page does not show gear doors on the Rafale or they took photos prior to their installation
