Hi Vicent,
I am using mine with a P60 in the tail. That way I can avoid the tail pipe weight and fly with 2 lipos in the nose and 100 gr. of lead.
Flies great. I have just made my 20th flight.
Regards
Nuno

Hi , I got one of the new fly eagle EV-5 units, it worked fine for a week but the other day the door up valve stopped working, It is being sent back to china for repair, but it worked well up to then, I am now using the UP UP-3 this works well and should not go wrong.

idpo6, I don't know about the P80 but with the Falcon you need to put the stuff in the front. Here are a couple of pictures of my install from my manual i should have done very soon. As you can see the nose is full and everything is up front. There is no estra lead in the plane and the balance is right on.

Mongo, Don't know yet. May have to send it back. It worked all last weekend when putting in in and today took it to the office to video the gear working and it was not working. Had a busy day at work so have not had time to trouble shoot but will over the weekend.

I have an AMT Mercury and looking for an Airframe.
I think the FLYeagle F15 would be marginal on the AMT, so what are your views on the F16 from FlyEagle with an AMT Mercury, its quite a heavy turbine!!!

Hi Guys , My F16 is nearly done, I have quite a bit of slop on the elevators is this normal? I have 8411's on the tail and as far as I can tell it is coming from the servo , I would say that the elevators move 10mm, also will the plastic servo arms be o.k they are the jr heavy duty. A friend of mine seems to think the 50mm travel is split for the elevators 25mm up and down This can't be can it ?
Cheers not long now!!

My advanced f-16 nose oleo strut is way too soft, it just bottoms down when the plane is static, even when the tanks are empty.
Anyone else having this problem ?
The mains are border line as well but not as bad as the nose gear

Hello,
My F-16 standard, the CG is set to 150mm with UAT full. I had the 8 flight with this CG and it flys great.
Before on the test flight it was 140mm and it felt nose heavy, then I put it 145mm, improved but was still nose heavy on landing. Then on 150mm is good, elevator response remains good on low speed and landing.
Regards
Vince

My advanced F-16 had its maiden flight today!
I flew it with the gears down, I flew for about 5 minutes then landed. Everything went just fine the landing was perfect except the stupid nose gear collapsed when I dropped the nose and I scraped the nose door and nose cone... I swear my landing gear set was assembled on a friday night shift...
I found the problem was coming from the nose gear drag link adjustment, if you guys are flying from a rough field you might want to check the adjustment of that link, when you hit the nose gear with a rearward motion make sure it doesnt collapse easily as mine did when it hit the first crack in the runway. I had to remove the upper aluminum block that is on the cylinder pivot and file a flat spot at an other location on the brass shaft to stiffen the drag link to prevent it from collapsing under rearward load.
Here is my setup if anyone cares:
C.G. 145mm (I think I like it at this spot)
Control travels:
Elevators: 50mm up/down 10% expo (flew with 30%, way too much for me)
Ailerons: 15mm up/down (10% expo, flew with 20%, too much)
Rudder: 25mm each side (10% expo)
Servos: Hitec 5985s all around except JR 3301 for the rudder
Engine: Jetcentral rabbit (awesome engine, perfect for this aircraft)
Radio: Futaba FASST
Air system: Replaced the FEJ door cylinders with Air power 1 inch cylinders as the stock ones were leaking, silicone oil didnt help. The airpower cylinders use a smaller mounting bolt than the FEJ ones, I oversized the hole in the cylinders with the proper size drill. You have to be extra careful but it works. The FEJ air valves I got were useless as well, I used a UP-3 gear valve and have an electronic brake valve on order.
Electrical: 1x TBM li-ion 5200mah 7.4v battery for the ECU
2x 2700mah 5cell nimh batteries for the receiver
I'll post some pics/ video later.
Good luck to those of you who are about to maiden the F-16! Its a great flying aircraft and it looks awesome. (mine has the tiger meet scheme)
Thanks to Bill Hatcher at TBM, Eric Clapp at Jet Central USA and fly eagle jet customer support, I got excellent service from all of them.

Sabastien,
That sounds like a repeat of my maiden last month: http://vimeo.com/1464328 If you go there you can also find my buddy Ron's maiden video. He has a JC Falcon in his.
I have the standard gear. The reason my nose collapsed was because the steel pin that goes onto the cylinder shaft was not screwed all the way on. When the gear was down it wouldn't go quite far enough to get into the fully locked position. The gear felt very solid if you grabbed and shook it. However, if you hit it from the front with the heel of your hand it would collapse. After the flight I took the gear apart and fixed it.
My settings are the same as yours but with more expo. Power is with a Wren Super Sport. After several flights I wish it had a little more power. The JC Rabbit should be just about right.
