Question Ref Spektrum fades/frames figs.

I'm a new user of the AR9000 Rx and Flight Log device. Over the weekend I got some interesting data from the Spektrum Flight Log. On one of the flights I got over two hundred fades on A and B antennas and nearly two hundred for F (Fades), which resulted in 3 Holds. On another flight I also notice this reading "b ---" as I cycled through the logger. What would cause this reading? Also, when I get holds (failsafes), what exactly is happening to the Rx/Tx link? I didn't notice any loss of contact with my aircraft. I have not once moved my setup and have had flights with no more than 2 or 3 fades on any of the antennas.

Dave Carter,
Great to hear from you again. I heard recently about a close call with the plug come loose, it must have been you! I am very careful to ensure it is tight. Also I don't put the TX down so its rests on the plug, I use one of these Tx stands.
Geoff.
P.S. Black Bunny is still alive, in hibernation at the moment but it will be refurbished soon.

Remember to always cycle the power of the receiver after a range check to reset the numbers of the flight log.
This might help?
Ciao!

Mauri, your right you can cycle power on the Rx and reset the Flight Log. I'm pretty sure the high numbers I'm seeing on the logger are a result of both low flying to the ground and from violent maneuvers such as fast rolls. Everybody seems to be having great success with Spektrum, but there are little anomalies that I come across on the bench and every time I come out to the field with it. I will continue to test the AR9000 some more before putting it in my Rafale.

two dogs,
This connection/post is a concern of mine that I'm looking to try to modify. I had a similar experience myself and referenced your experience in another thread.
See: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=6685185
I don't know how to use the quote feature for another thread so I just use the copy/paste feature.
Anyway, I'm just looking for ideas to help protect that connection. Even though I use the stand as well, I'm still concerned about storage in the case or even accidental bumps.
Just thinking....
