So the new "BVM" plug-and-fly F-16 is actually the Jet Legend under the BVM name?

I wouldnt doubt it. They are really good kits. Ive had issues with their customer service, but the models are really clean and neat (much more than SM and FEJ).

The new plug and play f16 from BVM is just the same Jet Legend 1/6 scale F16 that we all know and love but at three thousand dollars more than the existing JetLegend agents sold it for........Hmmmmmmm, and yes it's true that the existing agents who have worked with JL fr. Years can no longer supply you this airplane because BVM has negotiated a contract giving him exclusivity and preventing JL from supplying us.............for the length of the contract .........Hmmmmmmm anyway I managed to sell quite a few F16 s to my customers and we will be at Florida jets with them and you can draw your own conclusions smoke and mirrors blow away in the jet exhaust !

The latest is the "G2" F-16, which is newer than the one you have.

so bvm cannot be bothered to make there own so they are going behind the backs of the dealers that have stuck with JL for years and ripping their trade from under them nice way to go bvm, just proves to me what I have always thought of bvm was correct.
I will never to trade with any company that does this sort of underhand, low down, lazy type of buissiness they are not worth supporting if they cannot be bothered to manufacture their own products.
I hope bvm get the same type of backlash that flyeagle got they deserve it.

the F16 we are discussing is the mark 2 version that came out a little over a year ago the new lightweight construction with the removable nose cone and lots of other mods, with the servos and lighting package smoke system and air valves with sequencer already installed at the factory...MKMK

Does this mean that the new version is exclusive to BVM world wide or just in the States?
Zedjets are still selling them over here I have just taken delivery of one!

Hi,
I've not been told any different! Recent emails have not eluded to any change for the rest of the world.

Seems a strange sort of deal when JL could potentially sell more as their own brand but I guess Bob gives them kudos; look at how it's been praised on this thread already - perhaps not something that would have occurred had it held the JL badge?

Strange,
BVM has always been an elitist brand and quite rightly so with their own products!
Not sure that servos and lights constitutes another 3k!
I'm thoroughly impressed with the build quality and completeness of the kit which is offered at an affordable price ( if there is such a thing in model jets)! Shame that it will put it out of most peoples reach in the States!

Due to popular demands from our members, we would continue selling our GJC ARF Pro F16 with better quality and price. Sorry we are not able to offer this JL F16 G2 as its name has been changed. Please contact our advisors for delivery and availability.

Regards.

"G2"!
What would be the physical difference between the "G2" and the "GJC" version?

im not trying to be pain, it's just out of interest.

Our New GJC will be a G2 version with rivet details, light weight Airex composite wings and fuselage. We will offer the airbrake and operational canopy as an option. Landing gear would be more beefier than our G1 version.

Gents, need your advise:

I'm currently buidling the JL F16 and I am thinking of shortening the exhaust pipe (original pipe from JL) at the back so that it is slightly protruding from the former in the fuselage rather than flushed with the exhaust cone. The original former in the tail cone will be moved to the former in the fuselage so that the pipe is centered.

Any potential issue pertaining to heat, performance, hazzard etc..... ?

I'm using an AMT Pegasus

Thanks
Henry

i don't think that would be a good idea as the temperature at the end of the pipe will melt the rear of the jet. why would you want to do this anyway?

The reason for doing g this is to have a more realistic afterburner lights as well as a more scale inside painting on the exhaust cone.
I am intending to have a well coated layer of the heat shield inside the cone to dispel the heat.

It will be fine in flight but on the ground with no air moving through the fuse it will over heat the cone.

Thanks Gunradd, I will consider carefully before making any decisions to cut the pipe.

I have a problem with the nose gear not locking when landing and have had two nose down landings thankfully on grass so not much damage does anyone have a fix for this as I can not see any thing I can adjust I have it on 100psi with jet-tronic valves it works fine on the ground and if I leave the gear down for the whole flight it goes fine.

I have just had a thought if the jet-tronic valve switches off the air after 15 seconds will the gear still stayed locked?
