I'm in the middle of the country...Who is my dealer???....

I'm not a BVM hater as I've purchased enough of his products to make his house payment several times over and will continue to buy from BVM in the future...However, over the years I've heard nothing but derogatory things coming out of the BVM camp as to how we are stabbing America in the back when buying from foreign shores...I've heard with my own two ears BV chastising a rep for one foreign manufacturer questioning his devotion to his nationality and race....First, KingCats made overseas, then BobCats, and now BV's in bed with Skymaster???...I guess that money can make a person do what they swore at others for doing...Personally, I think that it is a great business deal for both BV and Skymaster...I'm just a little miffed that BV would allow himself to be such a hypocrite....Just goes to show that you should never say never.....And that crow must not taste that bad after all.......

"You live in Missouri right? Isn't that kind of Mid-West? How can you be a BVM/Skymaster rep if BV is the EXCLUSIVE EAST COAST distributor for Skymaster?? You can't sell Skymaster kits if you live in Missouri. Only peeps on the EAST COAST.
Please tell me I am missing something here." - ama 234

Hopefully this will clarify a few things: BVM is not merging with SkyMaster, they are only selling SkyMaster products in the 'Eastern Region of the USA'. BVM will sell SkyMaster products East of and including the following States: Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and the Eastern part of Texas.

RCI will sell SkyMaster products West of and including the following States: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma. They are resposible for the 'West' territory.

BVM and SkyMaster will continue to provide great service and this will mark as a new journey for both companies. I for one am very excited about this and I am sure Florida Jets will be exciting to see both Companies under one tent working in harmony to provide the best qulality jets and give you the best service possible. This will only be a win, win situation for all jet modelers and as you heard it from SkyMaster USA, they will not be raising prices in the near future. Times have changes for everyone and one thing I have learned in the past two years is that you cant get too comfortable where you are. In order to be successful in todays times you have to be flexible.

BVM Reps and SkyMaster Reps will work together across the U.S. to help you with your jet aircraft to bring you the greatest degree of success in your hobby.

Imagine when Anton doesn't deliver "the goods" when ordered through BVM?

I've heard such bad treatment of each other in these threads, it won't surprise me when everyone gets pissed at everyone else and we're gonna read more about how it sucks to get SM parts through BVM and vise versa....

Anton has a long history of sour business relationships; Sparks, Fei Boa, numerous Skymaster dealers and reps., etc. It will be interesting to see how this works out.

Why wouldn't you want to order from the direct distributors? Seems to me this would cut down on time and communication issues by getting directly to the source.

b/c say your in the market for a xxx ARf pro... East coast doesn't have it.. but west coast does.. but from the way it looks... since xxx person is on the east coast and they don't have it, they would have to wait till they (East coast distributor) could get it in stock... but yet, west coast has it and can ship it .. But the way the system is setup, it "seems" that you would have to wait for the east coast distributor to get it, even though their is one on the opposite coast...

That was the main reason for my question...

I doubt that they would be so rigid as to not ship you something that the other office has is in stock Thomas. I don't think you have to worry about this issue. I would think that the very worst case scenario would be one office ship to the other and then out to you but I doubt they would include the extra step. I am sure someone from one of the companies will address your concern though.

I could be wrong about this, but, there is and probably will remain, only one distributor of SkyMaster products in the US. That would be RCI. RCI has simply switched from utilizing a multiple dealer network to having only two Master Dealers. Skymaster USA, a sub company of RCI, on the west coast and BVM on the east coast. Both SkyMaster USA and BVM will get their products thru RCI. If the part or product is available in the US, it will be available thru either outlet. In the case of kits, there might be a shipping surcharge if the kit has to ship from the other region.

Of course that's assuming BVM will actually stock their own product. Everything might continue to come into LA and be shipped from that single location.

Just my guess

Big D you got it right, just backwards.
Skymaster USA is the United States importer for Skymaster kits. RCI is the West Coast Dealer, and BVM is the East Coast Dealer. Lets not forget that JetAces is also a Skymaster dealer located in El Paso TX.

I just love the Skymaster-usa video section (here is the link http://www.skymaster-usa.com/video/s...nes-video.html ) , where the first jet up is an F-18 and for those firmiliar with the basin know the music that is playing in the video, (bairly audiable, but noticable) in the first few minutes... Funny thing is, that lady with that Ice Cream truck will not sell anything to me since she is crazy,,,, one time she snatched some chips I bought from her right out of my hands and gave me my money back.... She is weird,,, ooh and definatly Not a looker...... every time I see her I wave the friendly bird back to her and tell her to lay off the crack.

I wonder if BVM is going to put some videos of SM products with ice cream truck music too on their web site.... That Top Gun music just has to go on JetAces site thou,,,, maybe they should all have Ice Cream Truck Music.............

I think I'm itching for that SM Mig-29.... At least that's an itch and not a burning sensation when I urinate.
