George, I was afraid if you knew about the Boomer you would try to do an intervention [X(]. I am sorry. All I want is a little whif of kero man, I dont need it, I swear, I just want it, it's by choice!

I could quit tomorrow if I wanted. Not today. Tomorrow.

My name is Shaz, and I am a jetaholic. Recently I relapsed. Bad. I am sure my sponsor thinks I am dead since I dont even bother to call him anymore. Since I last attended a meeting I have done a lot of naughty things.

I had a 30 lb thrust MB-339 by Modelbau. I put her on sale b/c I didnt want that small an MB. So I ended up selling her...for a much bigger Fei Bao MB.

I was then tempted my a near brand New PST Jet F84 with Flitemetal and all servos installed ready to run with my Rhino. So I bought it. For a super cheap price, the seller was also willing to throw in a fantastic Comp-ARF Mig 15 that qualified for World Jet Masters. I knew I shouldn't, but I did anyway, I bought her too. Then I saw an SR-71. I had to have it. So I bought it. I know thats stupid. SR-71s arent easy to quit like less addictive jets. SR-71 can kill. So there was an intervention...

I tried to turbinize the SR-71, but my fellow addicts talked me off the ledge. This is the Turbine conversion thread:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_94...tm.htm#9482982

You see? I was almost a gonner. But I did the right thing! I sold the SR-71. The buyer had less cash, and more jets. So I took jets as payment. he is sending me a brand new PST reaction 54 w/Jetcat P-80 RTF but never flown. he is also sending me a Gorgeous TrimAir F86 RTF w/ Super Bee or similar engine as well.

I will probably sell the F86 and definitely sell the PST reaction + P-80. I know what you are thinking, now, I am not just a user, I am a dealer. A pusher. A gangsta. But I'm not man, I am just trying to cope with my addiction....one day at a time.

My friend has a Philip Avonds F15. He wants me to buy it. It comes with a P-120 and the price is ridiculous. How can I resist? Why do I surround myself with these bad friends and then get upset when I relapse?

I need some inpatient therapy.

one day at a time.

I'm Dubd and I'm surprised I'm a Jetaholic. I use to fly IMAC and 3D and for some reason I keep buying and flying scale jets. I use to tease my friends for being on RCU everyday, but now I am... I just maidened two jets within weeks of one another, have a kit being built, and I am looking for a new sport jet... oh, and everyday I think about buying a F-5 from GJC. does it ever stop? [X(]

Wow, your addiction is almost to the extreme! I am glad to announce that I am a recovering addict. Most recently I resisted the temptation to purchase a 1/6 scale F-4 and a 1/7 scale Mig 29. Yes, I did suffer from severe tremors and foamed about the mouth as my wife wrestled me to the floor prying the phone and the credit card from my hand. I'm ok now, but I still don't remember how or when I ordered the 1/5 scale F-86 and the 1/4 scale P-47. Doctor says temporary amnesia resulting from over exposure to kero.[8D]

Shaz you are the worst, you don’t come to the meetings, have a relapse, buy and hide jets all over the US. How can we help, if you hide all the jets? But you know that your friends will help you…………….fly them. You could at least send pic’s. I was just thinking about the f-15 myself, but I went to the meeting yesterday and am taking one day at a time. Not today, not today, not today just make it through today. 10 steps think not today. Shaz, we here in south Florida have developed the cure for your serious problem. the crate that I built for you for your FB MB339 has been tailored to your exact physical size, please follow these instructions to the letter.
I fit yourself comfortably inside the crate
2 take a pillow and a blanket inside with you
3 take enough food and water for a five day trip
4 to ensure no damage please pack yourself tightly using all your cash, bonds and transferable securities
5 have Mrs Shaz nail the lid tightly closed
Ups will collect you in the crate and deliver you safely to me here by next day air, which of course takes five days including weekends
The cure will then be completed by a process called ,,,Disappearance
The crate will be returned to your family and normal life will be resumed..

Dr, Malcolm Stuart-Kay
asset surgeon.

Hi, my name is Michael and I would like to apply for membership here.

I know becoming an addict will take commitment, dedication and an unbridled need to purchase every cool jet, accessory and tubing diameter known to the modeling community. I'm willing to try.

I began with an [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9000567/tm.htm]Agusta A-119 jet helicopter[/link]. The smell and sound drew me in.

Two weeks ago, I went to Shaz's house here in Southeast Denver and thought I was in the lobby of BVM's showroom. Talk about inspiration. At that point I knew I had my work cut out.

Yesterday, I spent 87 minutes at a Yellow Freight facility with a Makita cordless screwdriver uncrating Pete737's F-16 that I bought from him on our marketplace on RCU. I'm getting the hang of it.

Within minutes of assembling it in my garage I was online buying accessories. Oh what a feeling.

As a principal of RCU, I feel that I have an obligation to bond with our members and this is my selfless way of doing it. I buy jets and you guys feel better. I'm such a giving person that way.

(Everyone together) "Hi Michael!"

Michael, as a sponsor and an addict myself, I assure you that our anonymous group needs to application. There is only one requirement, you must admit that you are an addict and that you need help.

Speaking of which, I have many admissions to make. It has been a while since I attended the group. Remember that Avonds F15 my friend had? I bought it. She flies great!
The F86...sold...PST Reaction....sold.....A7 Corsair....sold....Aviation Design F100...sold...Boomerang XL...blew up... Now I know what you are thinking, these are all signs of recovery! I wish!!!

I used all that money to buy a BVM F100, and a passenger airliner Lockheed Tristar L1011 by PCM....and.....a Kingcat. But the good news is I am also selling my beautiful Comp ARF Mig 15!!! When you do the math, its been pretty even wash across the board. Thats what I tell myself...thats what I tell my wife....but my banker knows better. He knows I lie....

My name is Shazam, and I am a Jetaholic.[sm=drowning.gif]

I'm not a jet addict. You guys are pathetic; buying jets all the time. Cant you control yourselves? Who needs jets anyway?

My name is Shazam and I am a jetaholic. It has been a few months since I attended my last meeting. I have been a very bad addict since then. I DID sell my COMP-ARF Mig 15, to Jason Bauer who qualified for WJM 2011 with it. So I thought I am better since I managed to give instead of take, but then I realized I needed a quick fix.

So I pulled the trigger on a Kingcat and got her and now am flying her. I already am flying my FB MB-339, but that wasnt enough, so I had my builder finish my JL F-22. But that wasnt enough, so I sold my Avonds F15, and bought a new ready to fly minus turbine Yellow F15.

I have serious issues. I am also hiding a BVM F-100 in my garage. I hope nobody finds out, because then they will want it. And I dont think I could handle that. But that isn't enough, so I bought a boomerang Nano NIB with Wren 54. And a month later, last week, I sold it for the price I bought it for. I sold it to prove that I can!

See, I am getting better right? Thats a positive sign right? And I even sold my JL L-39 sitting new in box yesterday! That means I am getting cured right? If....you were to ignore the fact that I bought a COMP-ARF Tutor last night. The tutor is on its way to me somewhere between Nevada and Colorado. Its not a problem right? That doesnt mean I have a problem does it?

My name is Shaz, and I need help.

There is no cure, so you might as well face that fact and just buy more new stuff in order to feel better, then when you feel bad about buying the new stuff you can sell it to me for .50 on the dollar (a blatant reference to the other thread here on RCU about whats stuff is worth)....

LOL, I definitely buy too much stuff, but I dont seem to be having trouble selling stuff I have for equal or better value than I paid lately. I think I am a bargain shopper to start so I seem to land reasonable purchase prices and therefore seem to have not so much trouble selling. Selling dollar for dollar aint my issue, its the buying that I struggle with!!!
