It comes with a 11 tooth pinion which is the lowest that CEN makes. I dont know if there is a lower number of pinion for this truck.[&o]

A carb restrictor is in the venturi of the carb. It's a conicle piece of metal or plastic that restricts the amount of incoming air to help stabilize the atomization of the fuel/air mixture. Taking it out increases air flow, so you have to increase the jetting, but it may run a little more spuratic. You can pull it out by hand or with pliers.

Gears definitely will make a difference and so would a .21 engine.

a dif cup is a little piece of round metal . one side goes into the diferential; and the other side has a "split" in it that the axle goes into.

The diff cups break on the rear diff because the of the dog bones. If you upgrade to CVD's it lowers the risk of breaking diff cups. You can also build sleeves that slide over the diff cup to keep it from spreading, there are a few people on here that have done that.

i made the sleeve by using some 7/16 brass tubing with some aluminum foil underneat to take up the little bit of extra space.

Hey for everyone who is calling me SWEETSHOES, call me Tony.

Ok lets get down to buissnus. I yanked out the restrictor and tuned the truck to my liking (After taking out the restrictor, you MUST re-tune.). Well I got it up to temperature and hit the throttle. The first times of yanking the throttle, I noticed a major difference in power (more power also speed). On about the thired time, it did start to wheelie. I guess the engine needs to get used to the new settings because it did take a few trys to get it off the ground.

------ I got about 6-8" on a wheelie. It is not at the point where you need to accelerate slowly to not pull wheelies (which i like).
It is either punch the trigger or no wheelie.

Someone asked where the restrictor is located. well go here

I have to agree, I took my carb apart for the second time today and there is no carb restrictor. The only thing you could even try to do to create more power would be to drill out the fuel inlet in to the carb barrel, drill out the flat spots on the bottom of the carb, and try to enlarge the hole in the slider portion of the carb. that way you are moving more fuel and more air at one time. But, that would cause some major tuning issues in the long run.

Wow. I am sorry for such the long wait. I thought this post was dead.

Well a wile back I pm'd T-Maxx killer with my cen mt2 about the carb restrictor and told him that I was sorry about all the confusion. I did not relize that the .16 did not have a carb restricor because at the time my brother had purchesed me a 21. os engine for my birthday. Well I tuned it and it was wheeling fine whitch is why I said it was getting about 6-8''. Well one day I went out to use it to find out that my little brother had messed with the settings because he though it would run better. Well it didnt. I found that out before I finally got it running which when I took aprt the engine noticed that the sleve was burned! Well I replaced the sleve and stupid me I let my friend break it in. Well Now the engine is compleatly ruined because he let it run way to hot.

Sorry for all the confusion [sm=disappointed.gif]
