BTW...THANKS"narly" for the link to the Hong Kong shop via ebay. Man they have purple to teh max decked out in aluminum glory...I just went tap happy with greed as I bought the whole kit and the last remaining parts to finish my MT2 188ss. Will post some snazzy pics of the beast when finished. BT time though it will be the 280 taps mark for this thread. I am taking it out for a rip today with the new sexy looking rear exhaust and my road tires cause its all wet here in J-land, so no mud thanks...not yet anyway, he he he!

Purple is way cool but you know if they had some other colours - I know there are some silver ones out there in ethernet world; mine would not neceserily be the same as everyone elses after i have "hopped up" my 18ss like a mad cow with a serious case of import/export propaganda. But asiatee,s I found was not that much cheaper and they would not negotiate on the price of UPS post. Now I am just counting down the days...! BTW I could'nt take it for a rip today...# No sooner had I gone out to my usual place and had everything set up, about to plug in the starter and give it a good shafting with my roto start, than it started f#$@ing raining...god loves me! I am his special child...! RIGHT..go blow I say...damn rain! And what about the farmers they all say...hey, what about little 'ol me and my wicket Nitro, it needs a good dose of speed to clear out the cob webs. Man seriously frustrated. Like its rained everyday off that I have. FATE?[:@][:@][:@][:@]

BTW Narly...you cant tease me with saying your MT2 is way cool without slamming some serious photographs down for me to drool at...come on fella, give me some MT porn...he he he. And did you find that when you put on your front Alum arm set and then your front assembly, did your bottom shock mounts rub against the front arm where it attaches to the shock...? Or was it all ok...?

Hey B4 you go to Asia Tees, the front C hubs I can get cheaper here Japan...it was just hard fro me to get the other more rarer parts like the front/rear arms, diff box - front/rear, and some other goodies that were unavailable here because teh J-folk are Savage nuts and therfore only have massive hop-ups for those models...silly really.

BTW I am interested in adapting a Savage gearbox to my MT2, are any of you interested in this project...? I thought that with all of our combines knowledge and recources, we could fabricate a way of doing it. Just imagine it man...TTTHHHRRREEEEE speeds with a seriously kick butt gearbox. That Savage gearbox is great because its all enclosed and is almost BOMB proof.

What say you all to this...INTERESTED????

I thought of doing the same thing with the savage transmission, but have you ever compared the size of that thing next to the mt2? I haven't actually pulled my savage trans and tried to fit it, but just looking at them in comparison, I would have to say it's impossible. All the dimensions are too big, length width and height. However, it is a wishfull idea and I definitely wish it were possible.

i have a couple savage tranny's lyin around in my shop. I put it up to the mt2, and it is gonna take some serious fabrication to mount it on the truck. not to mention it will be really tall and make the mt2 top heavy. but i have nothing but time. If i figure something out ill let everyone know

He he he...LOVE it! I have not had the chance to see the 3speed "liveAT5" if you know what I mean, only in-box. Most of the shops I go to - even knowing one of the Japanese sponsored drivers, will not get me a look-see at one unless I buy one. And non of my friends here have one either, they are more into on road stuff...?

Well...HPI you bunch of daft dreary eyed manic beer guzzling well designing yet leave a good thing out pansies...!

Yes, well...I think the whole single speed is like giving the mini cooper a V8 with a 1st gear and a 2500 rpm limiter.

I think for interest sake, i'll check it out...!

here goes the pics. The biggest problem is getting the driveshafts in a decent line. the next problem is alot of the electronics will need to be relocated. I have an extra radio tray that I can cut and mangle to make room just to experiment on how it will need to be done.
