Thanks for the advice guys, I'm totally new so I don't know what diferentials are, could you put a link where I could check them out?, thanks.

Do you have a manual or have you not received you MT yet. The best thing to do is go to HPI web site and down load the manual and start reading. All so do as much reading on this tread and in the forms that you can do. Then if you have questions let us know.

Got mine already....WOW. Simply the best truck I ever bought without any probs out the box and after........very tough. But Back on topic. Took the MT2 out the massive carpark to do a proper speed run and had a wee accident. It was I assume in top speed in second (reaches that very quickly with the .21 hyper) when right at the moment I was going to radar it to check, hit a puddle of water and aquaslided and then hit dry bitumen.....you can guess the rest. the rolling stones haven nothing on my car. But surprisingly there was NO major damage. Just a bent front arm (yep, using the alum front and rear to keep it weighted down only for the road lol) and a wheel came off and then totaled the axle carrier and shaft. Cool crash though. But luckily I had about 45min of run time so I was'nt too flashed with it.

Aquasliding though....

Does anyone here know where i can get parts for the HPI RS4 MT2? I want to get a fully assembled gear box (gears and all).
I dont have the RS4, but i have a truck similar to it, and want to try the rs4's gear box in it, and maybe try out some other parts too.
And how about some aluminium upgrades?

I have one but I have never seen assembled items for sale new. You are saying a gearbox. Do you mean 2-speed, differentials the slipper clutch section? Towers Hobbies has just about all the parts for them. I do very little alloy to heavy for what I do.

if you were to take the gearbox out of your car, thats essentially what i'm looking for. Perhaps someone could provide a list of part numbers, for everything needed for a complete gearbox

No problem just want to make sure what you are talking about so I can help you better. My suggestion is to go to HPI web site down loads the manual and then you can get the part numbers and look them up on Towers web site. I like your signature!

LADS im sending my truck i for repairs very soon.. i have no idea whats wrong with it so im gving it to the hobby shop to fix. I hope to god i don't loose any power from the engine as a result of not taking it out for a year or so. Ok just an update on the events. Im gonna bash the hell out of it for a while.. being here in the UK theres plenty of BMX tracks and such so should be fun.

I learnt from everything ive done with this truck that it is WAY to light.. the reason you can't get full power to the ground is that it wheelspins as theres not enough weight to keep its "feet on the ground".. Its fun but not practical even if you buy a bigger engine. Any suggestions guys? im thinking when i get enough money ill just upgrade the a-arms to aluminium including a more powerful engine.. what do you guys think? Do you think the same when it comes to the power to weight ratio.. Thanks in advance..

P.S. Doesnt everyone just love the smell of nitro in the morning

I recommended since you are taking it to the hobby shop to have them check drive train as well just to make sure. The weight is just fine, could be tires not proper for the surface you are running on. I do not have a problem getting mine to hook up and the only added alloy I have is the steering hubs (knuckles). If anything if I could I would make mine lighter as weight is lost HP. Good Luck

Does it have compression, is fuel getting into the engine, is it new or have you had it running before? I know you say the igniter is working but have you taken a glow plug and put in it to see if the plug glows red.

Thank you, I did see those but couldn't tell if they where stock, I'm taking your advice and making those my first upgrades, along with the nitro devel in the rear, so I won't have as much fuel to clean up under the body.

The rear exhaust is bad for one reason, it's exposed too much, so if your going to be jumping a lot, It's going to get destroyed... Other than that, It's awesome...
