i don't have a job []. yet. but im planning on starting at my lhs pretty soon. it is tough doing any of this on such little money. but guys, i had a couple of questions...does anyone here run any good bodies besides the stock one? (which one, easy to fit?) and also, ive read that the stock gearing is a little skimpy on the low end, and that the stock suspension is a bit soft. any recomendations?

Yes it should work. You must have the SS if you have a 49t spur.

I do not do RTR either as you just end up with a MUCH better vehicle starting with a kit.

thanks 46u, i just wasnt sure if it would work because i got the 13t vented cb and it came with a chart that suggested that it wouldnt work with the 49t spur but i guess that is only for the svage engines

I hope I do not end up eating crow but it should work if you have enough adjustment in the slots for the motor mounts on the chassis. I know I had some problems when gearing mine do to the slots but cannot remember what it was. If you want to gear it down and cannot use the 13CB you can get a 52t spur. But the infromation that comes with the CB is for the Savage. Sorry if I gave you wrong information!!![X(]

yeah i guess i could do that but if i used a 52t spur as opposed to the 49t spur wouldnt that decrease the acceleration and increase overall speed?? im going for acceleration the top speed isnt that important to me

To gear up more top end you go up on the CB or down on the Spur.
To gear for more low end or torque you go down on the CB or up on the spur.
So a 52 tooth spur would be a lower gear then a 49 spur.
