hey i am new to nitro got a MT2 rtr and wanted to know wat is betta 4 da t15 motor rotary carb or slide carb
i am not into serious racing just in for fun and ocasional race
I recommend you up grade your engine as the T 15 is not a very good engine. Do not know about where you live but for not a whole lot more here in the states we can get an OS 18 CV-RX and is a WHOLE lot better then the T 15! As far as tuning both the slide and rotary are about the same.

The HPI Race CB does not take needle bearings.
All so what are you going to do about your differential? Will not take long to tear up the stock pot metal RTR gear with the LRP. Don’t you all ready have one eat up or was that some one else?

About the only thing you will need besides the engine is an engine mount. Other then that it is pretty much a drop in process.

This is what I run and like best as far as engine mounts
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXCLR3&P=ML

These are cheaper but not real big on them.
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXN373&P=ML

Rotary carb
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGGP7&P=0

Slide carb
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGGP6&P=0

Since you have the RTR you should think about up dating your differentials.

No if you are running the Race CB like on the Savage you need ball bearings 2 of them 5x15x4mm. This is one of the many reasons to go to the Race CB it get away from the poor RTR needle bearing! Boy I wish I could remember what it was like to be 16! Happy late birthday.

A WHOLE lot longer then the poor RTR. The RTR are SORRY all so they do not come apart and are hardened.

You would have to get the correct starter plate, as I do not believe the one on the T 15 would fit. Never owned a Roto starter, as I do not have a problem with pull starters. Even my Savage is pull starter. I do have a bump box for my buggy.

Heavy duty final gears or just wait till they mess up which will not take long with the OS engine unless you drive real conservative. The RTR are weak pot metal.

I have an OS 18 TZ on my MT 1 ¾ and so far cannot get more then about 3 tanks of fuel before breaking something on the drive train. Hopefully the next time I get it back to getter will have all the problems beefed up. If I had it to do all over again I would get the OS 18 CV-RX.
