They should turn with the knuckle in the c-hub they are like bushings. If you bent the c-hub then where you put the bushings will no longer be parallel with each other. A washer sounds like it should work if you can get them in there. The reason I suggested new bushing is I have seen the ends get smashed from over tighten and this would make the bushing shorter.
Good Luck
that makes sense, not parallel = not good. i think i am going to try and find a washer or two and stick them in there. hope that works or else ill be sending back the c hubs. sucks though, i had to cut apart one stock c hub to get the bushing out so ill have to buy another set of them if i want to go back to stock

thanks for the help, ill post up if/when i find a solution

I have my frontend suspension off in 1 assembly as I'm getting a Alum front bulkhead and alum knuckels. I already have the alum "C" hubs and I'm using brass bushings instead of the nylon ones supplied with the GPM hubs. Looking at sometime Saterday to put it all together, if you still have a problem by then I'll let you know if I have simular prob's or not.

These are the brass bushings ( don't think this will solve your prob). I would not try altering the "C" hub as any type of bend will effect the integrity of the part and will most likely result in failure of part.

The stock is not nylon they are steel as you can see if you read this or take a magnet to them.

I am sorry to see you are going to buy GPM, as I will not run their products! You know why there parts are so cheap? They are made from cast and not billet and cast is not near as strong. All so I have experienced there quality control but I do wish you good luck.

Is the lightning stadium 10 by Hot Bodies totally compatable with an MT2? Anyone know?

They might look similar but I assure you the parts will not interchange for the most part. Buy one and try it or go to Hot Bodies web site and look closer.

Go to Hot Bodies web site and take a closer look. Yes parts for Hot Bodies are not as easy to get as they are for HPI as well as there are not near as many hop ups. Yes the 10 is a good looking truck but I would not swap my MT for one.

No one is perfect and we all make mistakes but the main thing is you figured it out and all is well.

hey guys..

i don't hang up much in MT2 tread cauz' mine is pretty much stock so the crappy hpi .15 don't have enough power to break anything but still, i know it got great potential.

so far i got aloy front hub, blue spring, motor saver, fuel filter, hs 645mg steering servo and the stronger steel diff.

so my question is: how much did you spend on your mt2 to make it a mean machine. engine, cvd, HD cup joint and diff shaft, racing clutch, turnbuckle....stuff like that. also, do the diff adjustment spring kit worth something??

thanks

hey fred
i have the 18ss kit.
the only things i upgraded are
air filter
billet alum front c hubs
hitec 645 steering servo.
hitec 625 t & b servo
street tires and wheels.
roto start back plate.
i was going to try and find the 2 speed trans but my LHS talked me out of it.
i`m glad he did. the truck is fast enought for me with the one speed.
thats it. i like this truck better than my savage.

Yes I think the diff spring kits work well and I run it in mine. I do not even want to think how much I have in mine as it has had many different faces. When I first built mine I had a lot of alloy on it till I found out the hard way all the problems with alloy. Then I up dated it from a MT 1 Racer, which was a kit that came with out a radio system or engine to all most MT2 SS specifications other then the upper deck and radio tray. I just recently took the OS .15 CV-RX out and buy an OS .18 TZ in. How much do I have in it WAY TO MUCH! But I do think I have gotten my money out of it and I am still driving it.

lol just like me and my evader, i start to count once, and i stop after hitting 1000$ (including the truck) .....it so addictive you don't wanna know. i just want to prepare my wallet for this winter. i'm gonna take time in the winter break to upgrade my MT2.

i totally agree with your alloy theories. all A arm and shock tower should stay away from alloy. instead of breaking, it bend. and then you asked yourself why your truck is all going wrong.... but alloy can also be helpful, like for the C-hub, much better in alloy.

Hi all, is the rc solutions rollcage for the mt2 any good?
personally, i don't believe in roll cage in RC. roll cage lead to weigh, weigh lead to inertia, inertia lead to impact, impact lead to damage.[8D] so its more protection but more damage. and your truck will be less agile.my point is: if you drive your car a way that you need a roll cage, get yourself some driving lesson or if you plan to jump off a cliff, a parachute will be more usefull

and since i'm pretty sure you don't drive like an *****, i don't think you need this!!!

my humble opinion

no seriously, if you think that it can save you shock tower and engine head, its maybe a good idea.

I beg to differ 46U unless I misunderstood you, the bushings that came with GPM's "C" hubs are white nylon plastic. At least the ones I recieved, in any case yes I'm sure they won't hold up as well as billet but hey for $20 ("C" hubs/ front knuckles) I'm not gonna complain. Plan on runnin' mostly on asphalt and hopefully not hit anything.

Might be a good idea to read my post well and check the incluced link about the bushings.

YES I DID!![:@] look like the gear and the bell separate?? and with the original engine!! the problem is the cluchbell is assemble instead of being made in one piece. HPI stuff can be so cheap sometime...

I never had a problem but I all so up graded to the SS set up that uses a Savage CB that takes real bearings like on most 1/8 scale vehicles. I use the Savage race CB that is vented. I have 4 HPI vehicles and they all have been outstanding.
