I guess it depends on whom you ask. I would not buy it. It looks like it is cheaply made and all plastic as well as I do all I can to stay away from Integy. I am one of those that rather wait a while save the money and get better stuff. I am sure it will work just wondering how it will hold up. I all so do not like starter boxes with 2 small motors I like one high torque 12volt motor that is like a start motor on a motorcycle. With 12 volts there is all ways a well-charged battery around. Just my two cents.

I have not run any of my nitro vehicles in about 3 weeks I have run one of my electric several times. I just hate bashing so boring. Just got my MT back together but does not look like I will get a chance to run it any time soon as it is suppose to rain starting tomorrow for 4 or 5 days. Have only run my buggy once in 3 months my Savage twice and my MT twice. When the track was open I ran every week just about. I am going to start working on my 1 to 1 car so I can get to more tracks.

that integy one uses one 750 motor, but i agree with the fact that i shouldnt get it because it is plastic.
is this a good one - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHUC9&P=0
I have both a 12 volt battery and 2 stick packs at home, i just thought the packs would be better to use because together they put out more than 12 volts

I have a collection of engines laying around. I think I got this .15cv-r from tower a few years ago,but
never used it until now. I race at the hobbytown track in Columbus and the Onion Patch in AL. mainly,
but I raced with Score in Savannah and the Sugar Bowl. This year I'll try Rod Slingers and Loganville.
I raced with alot of guys from Macon a few years ago I heard Macon had a nice track once?

I had the OS 15 CV-RX in my MT up until a couple of months ago for about 4 years. I really thing it is not quite enough power and the torque is not real good either for a 4- wheel drive truck. Big difference between the friction of the drive train on a 2-wheel drive and a 4-wheel drive. Now a .15 in my 2-wheel drive truck seems fine. I would recommend if your track would let you to run an OS 18 CV-R. I do not race my MT much any more and now have an OS 18 TZ in it and it is way too much for the track or even bashing. When I do run it on the track I have to dial down the throttle on my radio or all it does is spin out or land on the lid. Now I will say I have won quite a few races with it when it had the OS 15 CV-RX in it.
Hope to see you something at one of the tracks. I have to work on my 1 to 1 car so I can start going around the Southeast racing. Who do you race with from Macon? Need to get up with them! Many be I can catch a ride and more the happy to help pay for gas or what ever untill I get my car in better shape.

Jut did some checking and a 750 is less the 1/2 the size of the one in mine but like I said I use mine for big blocks.

Most tracks you can. Most of the ones in Georgia will let you practice all day for $5 when open. Now they do not have the timing system going during practice. On race day most tracks here only charge $15 and supply the timing system but you might have to have your own transponder.
When I go race I get there 2 hours early to practice and if there is light am there 2 hours after the race is over. Like I said when I go to the track I normally use at least ½ gallon of fuel each time I go.
I have not raced in all most 3 months and I am about to go crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![:'(]

This might be a silly question, but I'm sure I've heard people talking about it - Is there a way to adjust the mesh between the spur gear and the clutch bell teeth? I've heard something like there should be enough of a gap between the teeth to allow a piece of folded paper to slip through?

if you have the stock t-15 you do not need to worry about gear mesh as the engine has engine mounts built on and it just bolts straight on to the chassis. if you have a engine which takes separate engine mounts eg. lrp z18s pro then you will need to mesh the gears correctly otherwise you will strip your spur gear. there are two ways to mesh a gear and both work great. the way i do it is by getting a plastic baggie (like the ones you get from hpi spare parts). fold it over once and place it between the clutch bell and spur gear. apply a fair amount of pressure on the clutch bell and make sure the clutch bell is parallel to the spur gear and tighten up your engine mount screws. then roll your car foward to remove the plastic & see if it is meshed good. you will also be able to feel if it is a good mesh. it shouldnt be to tight, it should just roll along smoothly when pushed. 46u and others use paper and it works the same. i have used paper but it some times splits/tears. maybe its me and im using cheap paper.

there is no big difference in performance. The carburetor can either be sliding or rotary. On a rotary carburetor, the slide is opened as the arm is turned by the servo. On a slide carburetor the slide is opened by sliding the arm out by the servo. go with the rotary carb. then that way you do not have to change your servo horn setup
saving you 5mins

Tower hobbies seems to only sell starter boxes that have around 750 single motor or dual 550. There might be 1 or 2 exceptions. However, i only need this starter box for the new car im going to add to my garage this summer (1/10 Team magic g4s on road w/ .12 engine), so 750 seems like a good size motor, but please correct me if i am wrong, i have never had a starter box. I also hope it will work with my mt2 as well because then i will only need to carry 1 starter.
is this the starter u have with some sticker on it http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCUC2&P=0
will it affect the engine, if i have too powerful of a starter box

hey guys
just an FYI
i melted the center hole of my spur gear #76939 last sunday on my 18ss.
i think i had the slipper nut set to loose. anyway. melted the
center of the spur pretty good and burnt out the pad. it did last over 2 gallons.
so just a heads up. check that nut. i never checked it since building the kit.
