Nice and clean- what is the 9V battery for? Is that a G3 or .15?

This one had the .15 in it. Im going to be putting the LRP Z.18s in it. My other one is getting the TZ.
The 9V is connected to the LED Headlights. As you can see the holes didnt come out as centered as I wanted them to. I was planning on putting 4 lights in there but I need more juice to run 4 of them. Plus the LEDs I have are ridiculously bright so 2 might actually be enough. I tried to aim them towards the ground so they actually serve a purpose besides blinding people.
I like the GPM shocks. The aluminum seems as strong as any other shock Ive checked. The bodies are large so they hold a nice amount of oil and the springs are strong. I just wish they came in black instead of yellow.
Ill post some pictures of the TZ transformation too when I start it.

Is the fuel making it to the carb?
Is the fuel fresh or was it laying around in the hobby store for a long time?
How hot did the engine get when it was running? It didnt over heat did it?

Keith, im pretty sure the fuel is reachin the carb, just in case, i am blowin the pressure release tube until the fuel reaches the inlet, do i stop there or blow a bit more.
i dont know how long it was in the shop for, but it was running fine before, and im pretty sure it didnt overheat, i didnt stall and i could touch the engine after use.

ok its probably just the fuel then. Yes, definitely need at least 20% nitro. You will see a huge difference compared to the 10% stuff.
When you blow in the tube make sure the fuel goes into the brass intake.
If the temps are staying low you might want to use a hotter plug even with the 20%
You could touch the engine immediately after you ran it? How long did it run for? It doesnt sound like its even getting up to temp

It was running for about ten minutes, well not touch it properly but without getting burnt.
R u sure the fuel would be a problem for starting it, not just running?

There could of course be other issues with the engine, but the 10% fuel content isn't helping anything. I would try the 20% and see if that solves anything, and go from there.

You might have just gotten lucky that it fired up at all. Like Matt said, you really need to get 20%. That 10% is intended for airplane engines.
Once you switch over to 20 you should have no problems getting it started and tuning it correctly.

I am running 20% Blue Thunder. I heard good things about it, don't really know how it ranks up with the others, but any 20% should be better than the 10% you have now

Ive heard blue thunder is good too. Like I said a lot depends on whats available where you are. Not every hobby store stocks every brand so you are kinda of stuck with what they have.

Yay, got my engine gaskets today, I will post some pics of my sealed up, and hopefully, finished re-built engine tonight

I dont think you should mix it at all. They all have different blends and stuff, if it was the exact same fuel it may be ok but I don't think I would be mixing it at all. One could have a higher % of lubricant then the other. Plus I think it would dilute it alot.
Not worth the risk. It would run but it would need a tune up and would be smokey straight from the start.

Spoon is right. See if you can trade it off or use it for cleaning parts. I wouldnt risk making a mess in your engine mixing the fuels. Besides if you mix 20% with 10% you should theoretically get 15%, but Im not even sure that nitro works that way. Just get a new gallon of fuel and save yourself a lot of headaches.

Even though you have 15% nitro you will have double the lubricant I think if you mix them, I would use all the 10% up until its gone then slam the 25% in. But don't go from 10-25-10 otherwise you will rip your conrod to shreds. Make sure you never ever go back in nitro %... I have seen the effects of that many times. Its why you see so many cars on eBay "COMES WITH ENGINE BUT CONROD HAS SNAPPED. EASILY REPLACED AROUND $100 FOR A NEW ONE!" Its because they will break in on 5% and go straight to 25%, or they break in on 25% and then cant get 25 again and go straight to 10%.
