i agree with the lack of power but you can slap a turbo from a supra right on it.

a turbo will give you increased hp with mild TQ but that wouldnt be good for 4x4s since you are mostly keeping the powerband low while wheeling

ya well then you replace the intake and exaust. better yet replace the entire engine. there is such thing as too much power when it comes to off road though.

Duhhhh 4-runner??????? Dude I have been building hybrid off-road trucks for years. I have a 76 chev short box frame thats boxed out, cadilac 500, turbo 400 trany, NP205 transfer, dana 60 front and rear, ARB air lockers front and rear, 48 in Apple bite tractor tires, Hydrolic steering, custom built rear 4 link suspension, costom built front 3 link suspension, ect. ect. ect. Yotas are alright trucks but the motors lag on TQ and thats what you need in a truck. The last "real" toyota 4x4 was the Landcruiser FJ40, atleast it had gearing to make up the TQ out of the inline 4.
HELLLLLL YA MAN! I GOT A 78 FJ-40 with the stock 2F and axles! true 4X4 right there![8D]

Yea I know nothing about street racing. I only own a '00 Civic that runs a 75 shot of nitrous for a daily driver and just finished this car for a buddy of mine.

Oh and since I know nothing about it its a B16 block resleaved and deckplated to fit costom GSR internals bored to 84mm, SC61S turbo, love fab manifold, tial wastegate, greedy type S bov, mild port on 97 GSR head, skunk 2 intake mani, GSR tb, Hondata S200 engine management, Areomotive fuel pump, RC 1000cc injectors, Jhonny Race Car custom IC, JDM B16 1million series trany (uhhhh that would be the close geared one), Quaife, ect. ect., so on and so forth............ oh and its in a DA so since you are such a "street racer" you should know what that is.

what i want to know is whats with the weirdo coiled header? wouldnt you want a strait free flowing exaust with as little back pressure with a turbo? and have you ever had it on a dyno to see what it would put out?

Pro line makes a set. SUVs are lame gas hogs and all have soft suspention for "consumers", REAL actual 4xs have stiffer suspension the higher you go. Also on the same note IFS sucks too. If it was so great then why wouldnt any REAL 4x4s use them (not talking pre-runner crap). All SUVs are top heavy cause of the soft suspension and the raised center of gravity so "Urban" off-roaders (sarcasim) can feel like big pimps in their big @$$ highway ho@r$
I have to chime in on his OT post...
my 89 Isuzu Trooper was NOT softly sprung, it WAS IFS, and it broke less often than my CJ-7 with a built 304, a 727, D44s front and rear, and a Dana 300 t-case.
yes, it was top heavy, and narrow, but by god it went just about anywhere that a 400EX would go (and passed my buddy's stuck 77 K10 on 38s in the same mudhole, on 31s)
oh, and porn, your Civic sucks nuts. 4 bangers are for bikes.
as for the beadlocks-if they're quality pieces, you'll never have a problem, not my fault you cheaped out and bought crappy ones.

and erich, it's for packaging purposes.
if you have a POS front-wheel-drive economy car (nothing against FWD econoboxes, just the goons that modify them and call themselves "street racers"), you can't fit a proper header AND a turbocharger on it-you need a convolutedly stupid header.
