RC10GT just got it put togeather and tweaked out, OS .12 cv-s engine non-pull.
Drop it on the starter box (used after run oil on engine) engine spinning good on box.
Put fuel in car and drop on starter box, holded my finger over carb, tipped the car, everything.
It won't pull the fuel over to the engine so it will start.
Any ideas on why this would occur. All lines are correct, engine turns over no problem, just doesn't fire because fuel doesn't pull through the line...
Starting to piss me off. [>:]

You put your finger over the hole on the muffler to pull the fuel over to the carb, when you are first trying to start it,try doing that first. With a starter box it should pull the fuel in there very quickly. Might also be too long a line between muffler and tank, or between carb and tank. Make absolutly sure lines are hooked up correctly, and sealed tight and in perfect working order. Perhaps dribble a bit of fuel into carb and see if you can start it then, once it's running it should have no problem at all pulling the fuel.

I did place my finger over the carb hold on the side of the GT...
I will admit that the fuel line between the tank and the carb is all the leftover fuel line...
So perhaps I will cut that down a bit. Any specific length, like one small loop between tank and engine and one small loop between tank and carb?
Currently I have 1/2 a loop between tank and engine and all the left over line looped two or three times over between the tank and the carb...
So I guess your saying that's a little too much..?

Personally, I run just enough fuel line to get from the tank to the carb. From the tank to the muffler, I have one small loop in the line. I'm still not sure what you mean by putting your finger over the carb hole on the side of the gt. Just make sure you are putting your finer over the hole in the end of the muffler for a second or so as you spin the motor over. Other thing is make sure you have the carb needles set correctly, and there is not some sort of problem going on there that is preventing fuel flow. If not, check the tank itself that there isn't dirt or something preventing flow. Do you possibly have a fuel filter inline thats either plugged or in wrong? Take a good, hard look at your fuel system and I'm sure you'll figure it out. Good luck with it.

Yea just use enough to get from the tank to the carb. On the exhaust side you'll hear all kinds of things, i use two good size loops but whatever
I'm assuming the fuel line is new, make sure all the connections are secure, no pinholes or anywhere else that could be letting air in. Make sure your adjustment needles on the carb are where they should be. Thats about all i can think of, you should be good...

Sounds good, I will give it a try tonight when I get home from work.
I know I'm not being verbally specific, but yes, I'm placing my finger over the muffler to try and close the air flow to pull the fuel over (not the carb).
I have backed off the needle 2 turns, per O.S. manual directions for inital break-in so the problem shouldn't be there.
So I guess the only thing would be is to shorten the fuel line from the muffler to the gas tank, the line from the tank to the engine is pretty much a straight shot.
I might just run it up to the local hobby shop to take a peek and see what the heck is wrong...If it doesn't fire tonight.

Prime that new engine, start by removing the pressure line from the pipe and blow into it ,this well send air into the tank and push fuel out and into the carb. ,now I'm gonna asume that you have a heater that is fully charged, new plug, linkages set correctly, carb. needles set correctly, If so that thing should fire right up, RED

Realigned the fricking starter box on the bottom of my chasis so that it hit the engine better. That bad boy fired up like it was waiting to destroy all...
This is the coolest thing ever...
Of course I already had a run in with a mini van.
