The stock RTR+ does go about 35-ish, no more than 40 tops.

the rc10 rtr also has a restrictor in the carb, i think for breaking it in, if you take it out its a lot faster

Thats kinda wierd. Beacause my friend has an Hpi rush with an 0.S cv-r15, with an 60$yokohoma pipe and my car can beat him in a race[sm=confused.gif]

D, i'd upgrade the pipe with the 15CVR, definitely, with the FT topend pipe.

Any "official" racing like ROAR stuff will require a .12

I think it goes at least 40 with the restictor takin out. Its a huge difference when you take it out. I can do wheelies everywhere.

with a .12CVR i'd use a topend pipe...
I just ganked the .12CVR outta my NTC3 i just sold, and dropped it into my GT w/a topend pipe.
it still lifts the front wheels off the ground, and she SCREAMS.

np dude.
I don't think I really need any more power in my GT with the .12 CVR. I WAS plannin on goin with a Fantom 15, but this thing's more than fast enough IMO

thats the thing with the dynamite .12SPD compared to the O.S. .12 Cv-R. So close in power it was really available traction. Any stadium truck cant really use more than 1hp. It may with some heavy front ballast and battery pack upfront and some very large monster truck tires (like masher 2K's) and very tall gearing. Even then its almost too much power for a ST.[&:]

True. BTW the GT goes about 32mph tops. Removing the restrictor just gives you more power, power as in more acceleration making it appear faster but the most you'd gain is a good 35-36mph. Still a good truck and fast out of the box. OS .12CVR is all you need for racing unless you track is huge. Then you'd want a faster side exhaust engine like the newer Fantoms, Wasp.12SE, RB C12, or Novarossi CX12.

No, its just a little white deep plug thing in the neck of the carb. If you take the air filter off, you will see it, and it is really easy to take out with a screw driver or pliers or something.

nope. Its actually called a venturi and I use them at the track. It limits how much air your engine can take in at any given time. It does make the engine more tame to drive around. Many pros use them. When you look at setup sheets it will ask what venturi you used. There are different sizes for different tracks. They are a nice thing to have for the track but i think most bashers will view them as a nusiance since they just want raw power![&:]

there's a difference between a carb restrictor like this http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LX3413&P=RF and that white little piece of crap that's in the stock GT.
course, I never understood using a carb restrictor myself. if your engine has enough power to where you can't put it down, why not downgrade to a lower performance engine?

cause I had an RB concept .12 and i couldnt afford two different engines. Trust me, on a long track (which the long striaght track just closed up) it was really noticeable. Most tracks are short now so my 65 dollars dynamite still whips on the 200+ nova and fantom crowd.

You guys that think your GTs are getting up to 35 MPH and higher (with STOCK GEARING) are DREAMING, whatever mods made...

If I had the cash I would buy every ST in RTR form and clock them on video.... there would still be fools saying "I think mine goes faster because of my pipe, filter, or that I am in fact tripping..."
